Thanks for the recommendation.  It's also on Qobuz, in case that's helpful to anyone else.

Eric Clapton

E.C Was Here (Live)

Following Eric Clapton's recovery from heroin addition in 1974 and subsequent comeback (announced by 461 Ocean Boulevard), the guitar legend retained his fine band and toured extensively, and this live album is a souvenir of that period. Despite having such pop-oriented hits as "I Shot the Sheriff," E.C. Was Here makes it clear that Clapton was and always would be a blues man. The opening cut, "Have You Ever Loved a Woman," clearly illustrates this, and underlines the fact that Clapton had a firm grasp on his blues guitar ability, with some sterling, emotionally charged and sustained lines and riffs. A short version of "Drifting Blues" also drives the point home, with a lazy, Delta blues feel that is intoxicating. Aside from these standout blues workouts, Clapton provides a surprise with two songs from his Blind Faith period. "Presence of the Lord" and Steve Winwood's classic "Can't Find My Way Home" are given great readings here and highlight Clapton's fine touring band, particularly co-vocalist Yvonne Elliman, whose singing adds a mellifluousness to Clapton's blues vocal inflections. The market was a bit oversaturated with Clapton and Cream reissue products at the time, and this fine record got lost in the shuffle, but it remains an excellent document of the period. Lianne La Havas - Qobuz stream.

Lianne La Havas is the self-titled third studio album by English singer Lianne La Havas.

Lianne La Havas is a concept album with a song cycle that depicts the stages of a relationship, from early romance to demise. The album's musical style was inspired by Milton Nascimento, Joni Mitchell, Jaco Pastorius, Al Green, and Destiny's Child, resulting in a predominately neo soul album with elements of jazz and folk. Upon release, the album was met with rave reviews from critics, who praised the album's eclectic musical style and lyrical exploration.” (Wikipedia)

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Husband and wife guitar slingers Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, the most powerfully talented musical couple playing today, used their pandemic downtime to create a sprawling four-part concept album, I Am The Moon.  Produced by Trucks and carefully recorded by Bobby Tis, the two-hour, 24-song undertaking (each chapter will be individually released throughout summer 2022) has complex origins.  At the suggestion of vocalist Mike Mattison of the now 12-piece Tedeschi Trucks "collective," the chief source material is the 12th century Persian poem, "Layla & Majnun" by Nizami Ganjavi—also the inspiration for Derek and the Dominos' Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. (Coincidentally, Trucks is even named after the  band.) In talking about the project, Trucks has referenced concept-driven albums of the past like Jimi Hendrix's Axis: Bold as Love, an influence that is especially apparent in "Pasaquan" the final track of this opening chapter Crescent.  Opener "Hear My Dear" is a Tedeschi showcase, proving again she's carried the mantle of female blues/rock singer and guitar player to a higher place.  The collective's three-piece horn section enters on the celebratory barrelhouse blues-meets-Frenchman Street swagger of "Fall In," with its rambunctious, wonderful made-up-word and proper-noun-as-verb lyrics: "The wigglation in his walk/ The Cincinnati in your sway/ And we ramble 'til the break of dawn." Tedeschi cuts loose and works the upper range of her voice on "Circles 'Round the Sun,'' where the group's trio of harmony vocalists chant while Trucks sprays a solo across the tune's funky background. A call-and-response duet with several soloing horns then ensues before a spoken word conclusion. The entire group, but especially Trucks, Tedeschi and the drummers, Tyler Greenwell and Isaac Eady, find room to stretch out on the improvised, Allman Brothers-like closing jam, "Pasaquan." An exceptionally strong start to an ambitious, career-defining endeavor.  Robert Baird/Qobuz Wink

"Buddy Guy still sounds as lively as ever. With a career that began in the 1950's. Guy is one of our last ties to the golden age of the blues. However, from the sound of it here, this age never ended!
