Mike Bloomfield / Al Kooper, Steve Stills (Stephen Stills)
Super Session
This is a highly under rated album. The songs are simply fantastic. Albert's Shuffle starts out just dripping with soul. Later the horns kick in and add build an energy. His Holy Modal Majesty starts out exploring the sonic artifacts of an electronic keyboard with a finite number of voices before taking you on a sonic Odyssey. Season of the Witch is just crazy good. Strong builds that zenith and release. On You Don't Love Me Anymore they put the flanger on the whole damn thing. It's some fantastic psy blues/rock.
If I were taking 25 albums to a desert island, this would be one....

The Impossible Gentlemen-Let’s Get Deluxe. Tidal/Roon. Jazz with some of the most beautiful guitar work that I’ve heard for some time. Properly recorded, with little or no compression and very dynamic. Can’t stop listening to this great album! I think I may have posted this before, but it warrants a second mention.

@thumb5 . Glad you’re enjoying it! In the same vein, but a bit less "jazzy", check out Widespread Panic and Jimmy Herring.

Midnight blue, hypnotic, dreamlike: "All That Reckoning" continues the evolution of Cowboy Junkies confidently. Elegant and simple. Touching and heartwarming. And a little sad
