So nothing to expect here...

The only "upgrade" of Astra I see so far is the display of the volume in the remote...

It will be very interesting to see how the Astra is received.
I still have the original D200 and never upgraded, but it still sounds sublime. Effectively my firmware updates ended years ago, but apart from a few issues with the remote it still gives me so much pleasure.

I suspect very, very few sales, and it will be a non-viable product for Devialet. They are doing everything wrong here!
They might have decided to go the 'look at what I can afford' route. There are more people with more money than sense in this world than audiophiles

Same. bought my 200 used in 2017 for 3600€ and never looked back. So glad I skipped the upgrade path back when they introduced the Pro.

I think that we need a bit of positivity here.
As a D1000 Pro CI owner who was one of the 100 first DPremier customer in the world, and who know owns a super high quality system based on a finely optimized AES/EBU connection using the best clock on the planet... I am happy to see that Devialet is still working on the Expert line.
Do I feel like upgrading? No. The lack of AES/EBU is a clear show stopper for me, but I believe that the new line may nonetheless be important for the company and deliver good value for new entrants who do not have a system in place, or at least not a system as linked to a certain technology/connectivity as mine is.
The key questions to me are how good the sound will be, how stably the amplifier will behave as part of a system, how easy it will be use, maintain and upgrade.
Devialet does still IMHO have the best sound technology on the market. Price is high but high-end segment prices have pretty much doubled during the past 10 years. All the high performance solutions are expensive.
In this context, I hope the new Expert line helps them strive and deliver value to more new entrants. I do hope they have a solid plan to keep their clients happy, which would of course need to include delivering better on their commitments than they did in the past, be more approachable to establish a real love mark whose clients will happily and confidently promote the brand to their best friends.
Cheers,
Bernard

Response from Devialet on Export supports going forward:
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here at Devialet. I hope you're well.
Devialet Expert will continue to be supported from a hardware perspective, that is, repair services will still be available. Software-wise, for Expert Pro there are no significant software issue or bugs detected for the past years, the user experience will continue to be good for the streaming services currently available.
Concerning future upgrades to the Expert line, there are no plans for any. There will be trade-in options for Expert and Expert Pro to Devialet Astra.
If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to get back to me,
Kindest,
