I can tell you it's a new Expert Line (told by officials).
The new line will start at top (20.000€ plus) and there is only one smaller model coming but nothing like the 200 or 220 Pro they said. Maybe that's for later. But at first only two high priced models.
Color seems to be copper(ish)...we'll see.

Thanks for the update.
btw, makes sense, since the announcement is " Whole new system coming". Looking forward to seeing the look and design.

From a financial standpoint (regarding the tight financial situation) it makes no sense to release a device which is 20k plus. This won‘t be sold to more that a few people and won‘t stop the downward spiral of the company.

So what? Expert is still a great unit. I have a Pass Labs power amp, the latest model. Shall I write to the factory to stop with new inventions and models? Or as soon as the new model appears sell my amp and purchase a new one? The situation for Devialet is not bright: doing nothing, no updates, and no upgrades on the Expert line leads to higher sales of used Expert units. Take a look at the Hi-Fi Shark and you will see more and more Experts on sale and prices are going down. One Italian put his Expert Pro 220 CI for 2.400 euros and it is 2 months on sale, and still available. Another German one published his 440 CI for 5.999 Euros (and it is negotiable) - a month on hi-fi shark and still available. So, no worries about your unit, it will keep the price better if Deviealet doesn't give up on the Expert line.
99.99% - fake/scam ads.
We have a common friend who lost 3000 euros this way.
I told him the price is too good to be true - unfortunately, I was right
About other things you wrote - I'm with you.
I would like to see a new model.
Very annoying for your friend...
Btw: If anyone is interested - my D440 in very good condition is for sale, also for 6K (with all accessories and original box).
Please PN me...

If it's an all in one then it'll most likely have an in built streamer this time around. Maybe a two way remote like then new Moon stuff has. It would be great to see the brand revived with a really high end product. I'm planning a proper listening room in the future and I would certainly look into Devialet again when the time comes.

For some reason I have this strange urge to write the words "upgrade scheme".
I have no idea what brought this on, but I have written the words and feel better now.

Nope...no internal streamer from devialet itself (but should that not be a good one reminding their software capabilities?). The remote will have leds on it for navigation purposes (afaik). But the SD-Card will be obsolete (at least that's something). Programming on the fly.

Well, it certainly would be a good way to placate the long-standing Expert Pro owners and also give a quick boost in sales income which the company certainly needs from the sound of it. E.g. a 20% discount for current owners, time-limited for 90 days.

Very interesting. If this means being no longer dependent on Devialet's web-based configurator that would be a big incentive (for me) to upgrade.
