You have just a screw to remove and disconnect the antenna connector .

which model? you mean even just disabling the wifi the configurator does not provide such improvement?

Could you elaborate on the improvements?

Hi ,
I have a D220 Expert Pro.
Two tips are really good for the soundstage and micro details with the AES and phono stage input :
 - disconnect the screen
 - remove the Wifi card ( you can disable it with the configurator but the card seems to be power on ).

I see, thanks for the tips. I am going to try the hifi card removal. I'll probably not go to the extreme and remove the screen, it will be quite inconvenient to use without the screen, I don't even know which input the amp is at.

I tried the Wifi card tweak as well on my 1000 pro. Seems to be an improvement (need to listen more carefully this evening) but also has one issue.
I'm using the auto dim for the display. After removing the wifi card it is now switching on after some seconds, then off again, ... never stopping the on/off cycle...
I have now configured the display to be always on with lowest brightness...if that is an issue you should not remove the wifi card!

Disconnecting the screen allows an improvement. I think D220 works in a better way if the most item not used are physically unplugged.
I have modified the way I used my amp :
- AES input for the streaming via QOBUZ
- Phono Stage for the vinyl
As my screen is off , I have for each one a specific SD Card

For those who tried the tweak: how much of an improvement (in %) in sound quality would you rate this?

I've also removed the wifi antennas for a while now. The remote control functions fine with the wifi antenna removed.

Don't think I'll venture into removing the internal wifi card yet, seeing as it might affect some functions. Quite sure it would make an audible difference though, but I wonder how big of a difference?

There're definitely benefits to reducing electromagnetic noise via ground loops, extra cables, etc. It's not the type of noise you hear in the speaker output. I suspect it's more like noise on the ground plane that affects the jitter of the clock crystals, DAC and other digital components.

Just spent an afternoon experimenting with adding isolation to ethernet cables between network router, modem and switches, and even that still impacts the sound significantly. Who knows exactly why, but it does.
Devialet 1000 Pro CI - AQ Diamond AES

Ya even after years of tweaking the network setup on various systems it's amazing to see what obvious minor changes have significant impact on the sound quality. Using an Ethernet switch like the EtherRegen brought a considerable improvement - also tried many more and ended up using a Network Acoustics Muon Pro Ethernet filter. For those not having used one, there are many vendors now providing products. Currently I would recommend the new Network Acoustics ENO2.

Various types of noise even in the network environment play an essential role. I for now also didn't like to go for the route of removing internal components of the Devialet - but I love to hear more experiences by users who did.

removing the antenna is hardly audible while removing the wifi card really makes a big difference. I have also not expected this...
The CI board has introduced a better clock which was a good update as it seems to replace the internal clock of the Devialet. I guess the wifi card is degrading the quality of this clock and also pollutes the whole system somehow.
Another improvement could maybe archieved with a dummy OS which only puts the CPU of the CI board into a halt state...the CI board is fully booted up even if none of it's functionality is used. A replacement board with only a high quality clock could be a nice option.
