Today I just received the new iFi Mercury USB cable. I am curious to see what SQ improvement it may bring to my D400/Aurender X100L combo.

The packaging looks and feels premium. I hope performance will be on par.

Be aware that also cables take run in time. I remember horrendous first weeks with new MIT cables.

No, this was ordered online.

I'm not sure if this is due to cable break in period but the initial impression is disappointing! The iFi Mercury seems to box the music and limits the dynamic range!

I would say that this is a typical break in phenomenon, so give it a few weeks.... Just let it play continuously while you are at work.

I'm sorry to say that I'm very disappointed with the iFi Mercury USB cable.

4 days of continuous burn in period and still the sound is so boxed. It feels as if you through a blanket on the speakers and all the high notes are muted in a way.

It is definitely going out of my system.

Very good! Of course iFi stands no chance here. But I still need me sessions to confirm if the Diamond brings improvements over the Cinnamon to justify the higher price
