phantom .screw lock to stands
#1
Hi ,
can anyone clarify how can i lock phantom to generic stands ?
i have my eye on the soundstyle z2 a cheap award stands.
https://www.whathifi.com/soundstyle/z2/review

the stands plate is 16.6cm on 12.5cm so i think its good enough for the phantoms.
my problem here is how to secure it to the plate (little kids, dog etc... Smile )
if it involved some more holes i can do it manually but there a grey plastic underneath the phantom and i can figure out if its detectable/screwble or whatever.

please advise...

It's a non detachable pin. You can make a bracket for securing the speaker. See attached drawing and picture of the original Devialet mounting solution.

I don't have Phantoms, but if you look at Gecko there is a small handle where a hook on the Phantom bottom (hidden under the rubber) slides in and holds the speaker. A bit of DIY is required on your part as the the stands are not original Devialet.

Ah, @ragwo beat me to it!
