I have never measured any other hi-fi device which is worse. I keep my Devialet on a separate spur as a result.

I am both surprised and disappointed to read this.

I will connect mine to my AC-Curator when they get back.

How does connecting to a separate spur help?

Rufus brought his Audioprism noise sniffer to my house and plugged it into a socket next to one of the Devialet units. The reading was off the chart, quite literally. We tested lots of equipment - lots of stuff (for e.g. a Linn solo amp) was say 1 out of 10 whereas the Devialets scored 9 or 10 out of 10!

This really surprised me too because I'm sure I had read a whitepaper by Devialet some time ago which claimed that their SMPS was very quiet.

Now of course it's possible that the Audioprism is overly sensitive, and I'm not too sure exactly what it's measuring. On the other hand the other equipment didn't register anywhere near the same levels.

I also have my Devialets on dedicated circuits, the idea being to shelter them from one other and also all my other equipment (for e.g. my MiND streamer).

I had a dedicated circuit put in for the stereo too, but I am not really sure what benefits it may offer from a mains noise POV.
The AC Curator has 3 different types of filter so has 3 groups of sockets, One for power amps, one for digital kit and one for low level analogue.
I fear that plugging the Devialets into sockets for digital kit may be the best for interference but not instantaneous current.
I had used the D-Premiers with the power amp section of the AC-Curator simply since I had unplugged the Goldmund amps and used their cables for the Devialets when I first got them.
The cable for each of my spurs is about 5 metres long and the noise diminishes as a function of distance it seems so the noise from the Devialet on the other spurs is minimal. I went the separate spur route when I had Linn kit as I found components sensitive to the noise from each other.
The downside of separate spurs is (I think) ground loop issues but I don't seem to have had problems with that probably because they're relatively short.

Some people seem to swear by everything on the same circuit, others by separate ones. From what I read single spurs seem to be more musical (and you can benefit from distribution blocks with star grounding) and separate spurs bigger and more impressive. I'm going to try back on a single spur at some point to compare. - might borrow a decent distribution box to check. The Devialet noise being measured by the Audioprism might be a red herring but I've been on a bit of a noise-hunting trip lately so wanted to eliminate the effects as much as possible!

LED and dimmable CFL bulbs also measure highly enough to be concerning, though i can't hear the difference when they're on or off even though the effects can be measured (though pretty small) at the hi-fi end.

The speaker cable thread is going a bit off topic...... This is very interesting stuff though. Perhaps a new thread to cover peoples experience with Devialet and mains isolation kit is called for?
Yep, sorry!

No need to be sorry! This wasn't meant to be a criticism, far from it, however, it was meant as a suggestion for a new thread......

Confused - that's actually an excellent idea! I'll create a new thread for this. Some of this has already been touched on in the power cable thread but you're right it's important enough to warrant its own section.

Moved to mains thread
I can definitely hear a difference between the speaker cables I have tried on my system. I am now using my old pair of Nirvana SL, best sound balance I have found.
