We've discussed/hypothesized before what the IHM, which probably stands for 'Interface Homme Machine', does. I consider it the central 'brain'/director of the Devialet and it at least is responsible for the 'GUI' so the display contents and functionality in enabling/disabling functionality. Any changes in SQ (when one doesn't use WiFi and perhaps ethernet) must be because of changes in this file (or the placebo effect of course Wink).

Hi Antoine,

When you say WiFi has changed what do you mean ?
In the directories (10.0.2 and 9.0.1) I have WiFi file is is wifi0210.hex and was compiled (link edited) on Feb 28, 2014.
Is this correct ?
What to say from the main firmware (ADH) which dates back to 2011 in the version which is applicable to all machines except the 6.0 architecture (D1000) ?

Your right wifi hasn't change.

If you bring up the version information on the amp after installing 10.0.2, it says ADH version 3.3 still not 4.  If someone that has O d'A or D1000 would look up the info on their amp after install 10.0.2 and if it says 4 that would confirm it.
Thank you Guillaume for making me aware of the new firmware release. I will take my time to make up my mind, but first impressions are pretty good. Like it a lot so far.
The 3 files that are new in the firmware are:

ihm_1000.hex
psu_603.hex
adh_0400.hex

My PSU version is still 4.4 and ADH version is 3.3 according to my amps information display after installing 10.0.2.
OdA is HW v5.0 so ADH still is 3.3. Only D1000 has ADH 4.0.

OdA was increased to 1000 watts via the ihm_1000.hex file which means it definitely does more than just the display.
This is the fw_list.txt file which makes it quite obvious that the only thing that changed is the ihm_1000.hex file for V5 hardware owners.

Guys, we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover! Wink I always check to see the CRCs first and when they differ look closer. The filename (wifi0210.hex) is the same and even the date, but not the time. Also the 9.0.1 version is 688.359 bytes, the 10.0.2 version is 379.255 bytes.

What PSU version?

If it's the same version then the OdA was increased to 1000 watts via the ihm_1000.hex file which means it definitely does more than just the display.

PSU still is 4.4 on the OdA. If you have a look inside fw_list.txt you have the list of files for each architecture.
HW 4.0 is for older machines. HW 5.0 for all present machines including OdA, and 6.0 for the new D1000

Good point for you. What do you infer from the date then ?

The wifi size in 8.1.3 is also 379,255 bytes.
