We can only guess at the functional changes inside the firmware. Only Devialet knows what, how and why. Smile

The filename (wifi0210.hex) is the same and even the date, but not the time. Also the 9.0.1 version is 688.359 bytes, the 10.0.2 version is 379.255 bytes.

The wifi size in 8.1.3 is also 379,255 bytes.

Good find, in fact the WiFi file hasn't changed since 7.0.0 beta. Except for 9.0.1 and now it's back to it's 7.0.0 version. Weird, perhaps it was done as an attempt to fix/better AIR but them now having found a different direction to solve the issues.
SQwise even more detail in 10.0.2 more air between instruments, more bass control, transparent highs, voices unchanged so it's a keeper for me.
Blue dots is a nice cosmetic addition!

Actually my AIR3beta is dropping out more now that I've upgraded to 10.0.2 than 9.0.1 (well done Devialet  Tongue)

Regarding SQ wouldn't have a bl--dy clue if it's changed or not  Big Grin , but still listening to a wee bit of Norah Jones while the good lady is in bed so can't play to load (that's Aca Daca on at the moment  Wink  )

PS Don't mind the new colours on the display, but unless standing over the top of my D-Premeirs won't make any difference

I could of swore I read that they did exactly that at one time.  Not sure if it was 9 though.  Maybe I'm wrong.

Nothing new there... Wink
Just did the update on a lazy Sunday morning. There are subtle differences between the new firmware and the v9. The vocal is more solid with the image firmly planted in the middle of the park and a slight echoey tail at the end. The highs are slightly more airy and I thought there were more clarity at the high ends. I can't comment on the bass probably due to the music (non-audiophile: Il Divo / A Musical Affair) I was listening to could not demonstrate the additional control that many had observed. Another happy owner Angel
By the way is it necessary to re-configure the settings after update? I didn't do it.

I did not do that either so I asume that wont be needed.
A bit of fun - my impressions are best conveyed by modifying a wine review (original text is at the end):

Pierre-Emmanuel Calmel has delivered a very unique style of sound. The audio is immediately more savoury with scents of green melon, quince jelly and a note that can only be described as similar to a breeze through a saddle yard. The auditory palate is just as quirky with that beautiful quince note coming through, some medium acidity holding everything together and this great touch of salted caramel adding further complexity. Who knows whether these unique characters are a result of the Parisian land or the hands of Mr Calmel. Either way, what this Frenchman has created is a truly charming and different sound to be enjoyed all through these warmer months.

Mr Lapalus has delivered a very unique style of rosé.
