Try streaming from an Aurilac Aries and you will be in for a bigger surprise richer and more coherent with much better mid range
Looking at the comparative sizes it's amazing they are so close. I must get a listen to these Phantom balls. Bye the way, could I interest you in a nice pair of slippers?
The comparison is not really fair. You should place the Phantoms on some stands, maybe chairs or so. Alternatively you can also lay your B&Ws down on the floor...
These look to be a cheap reasonable (almost throw-away!) match for the Phantoms for anyone waiting for the Devialet Branch stands:

The upper plate appears to be a decent match for the Phantom footprint and the colour match is reasonable - glass plates with aluminium pillars. 47cm height. Each Phantom is 11kg so well within the 45kg maximum speaker weight.

Pillars said to be a bit flimsy and no spikes on the base plates - but only £30 a pair including UK postage.

Bingo... (maybe a support strut behind the base of the back) possibly not needed.... if done right could be collapsible as well, thank you Lumberjocks.

Re slippers: No I am a pony-obsessed anarchist hippy punk interloper, slippers are shackles of the hegemony. Thus this is a free service for foot fetishists.
My Phantoms made my B&W 803D's with mono blocks more than sweat. That is why I got rid of my old rig and only have Phantoms now - which are simpler and just as good if not better sounding. They are a real revelation. But SPARK has to be THE worst bit of software produced by a major company in the last few years.
Mine arrived on Wednesday (with free Dialog) after a 2month wait and by Friday night it blossomed so much I was overwhelmed by such spacious, integrated sound from a mono source. I had been looking to upgrade my £1k XTZ floorstanders for a while... So this morning I ordered another Phantom from Colette in Paris in the hope of receiving it this week.
My Phantom really responded to being placed on a solid heavy stand (Partington Dreadnought).
I guess my D120 will be up for sale if this pairing works musically (bugs aside). I'll just have to find ways of getting the analogue front channels from my A/V receiver into them.

QUESTION: Does anyone know if two Phantoms will separate the left and right channels out from a common optical input signal? (Using a optical splitter). I was hoping to surmount the current Dialog latency problems this way for movie watching.
Two Phantoms Silver is still cheaper than Devialet 200. And, we have not even count the speaker cost.
Anyone else here not able to play any local music file through Spark?
(Deezer and optical work fine)

Spark "sees" the files, track tile, artist and album details and length are fine (no cover art though) but it's completely impossible to start any track (the button is "stuck" on play)
Yes that's one of the many things that's happened to me. All the ADDED tracks have to appear in the central window. If they don't, then the Phantom has got 'lost' from the network. On some occasions I've had to quit & relaunch Spark to get them to play. And sometimes-like just now - it will still only play about 10 sec before stopping.

Had that loads of times. I usually reset the hardware and re do the setup when this happens.
One of the Spark bugs, and seems not to be fixed in the beta release of Spark (1.1.0.0)
