  Dealers/trade and advertising
Posted by: GuillaumeB - 23-Jun-2015, 19:06 - Forum: Information, Rules & FAQ - No Replies

Just wanted to clarify some of our "unwritten" rules at Devialet Chat.

Explicit dealer advertising is not permitted, however dealers are positively encouraged to participate in all discussion threads. By dealer advertising we mean blatant self-promotion including links to websites and price lists, and mentions of specific promotions. Contact details are not allowed.

However, dealers are welcome to post in the "Events and Shows" section, in this section it may be appropriate to include links to websites and provide some contact details.

Dealers are not allowed to post items for sale in the "For Sale" section.

If in doubt as to what is acceptable (or not) please PM me.

Thanks  Smile

  Problem with Search

Hi admins,

Is the Search engine working? I'm not getting any results, while I'm almost sure I should be getting some.

Hi guys,

Can I encourage those that haven't yet done so to upload an avatar?

Once again this isn't compulsory or anything.  Tongue

Hello chaps, a new site logo is imminent!!!

I think you are going to like this... well I hope so anyway! Undecided

It's 1000 times better than the current one. Tongue

Also we'll also be making a few cosmetic changes to the site over the coming days, as ever your feedback is welcome and appreciated! Smile

Hi guys

As this forum continues to grow it's becoming harder and harder to stay on top of who owns what. Would it be too much to ask everyone to create a signature (if you haven't done so yet)?

This is completely optional by the way. Smile

  Maintenance - 03/10/2014
Posted by: Martyn - 03-Oct-2014, 13:35 - Forum: Information, Rules & FAQ - No Replies

Hello all!

I've done some maintenance on the behind the scenes parts of the forum this afternoon. I've tested as much as I can do but if you find anything not working as it should, dead links, etc... then please let me know!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I think we've created a community here. Your community! Cool

  Different Devialet forums
Posted by: bederi - 31-May-2014, 14:07 - Forum: Information, Rules & FAQ - Replies (2)

Hi GuillaumeB, hi everyone!

as some of you surely knows, there are a few threads about Devialet on some other forums out there:

the last one of these being the biggest, I think. There might be some other, as well.

The problem with this is that:
1. The information is spread on different sites, difficult to find.
2. There's one thread in each with extremely many posts (at the moment, 1455 on the last one), which makes it extremely difficult to find what I'm looking for.

Therefore, I really think that the Devialet Chat is a very good initiative, but how can the word be spread to the other forums, to the other Devialet users? Is a post there about the existence of Devialet Chat inappropriate?

BTW, I have to say that Devialet's own communication with its users, its user community is well below what should be expected, a very good example of good interaction between company and users is the Linn forum (with the very same forum layout, no coincidence, I assume).
