Definitely wishing I had pumped the brakes a bit, but there were so many things wrong with the prior setup I did the cables (demoed first of course) and the pucks two weeks after new speakers.  Exactly where I want the system to be, for the most part, even if the arrangement is unorthodox and the room is untreated.  When pushed, I was told moving the pucks would make little difference, same if I swapped them out.  But I missed out on the process.
