Thanks so much for the replies and the heads up on the difference between the Pro-ject and the Lindy.
I did find it quite difficult to get the specs on the optical input of the Phantom - I couldn't find much information on the Devialet site as to what the maximum optical input specifications are?
What I did forget is that I already have a Pro-Ject analogue pre-amp so I could save a little by just getting the ADC as Sebc suggests- I will give this some thought and bank balance checks
This forum is great for getting specific details of suitable products - google, ebay and amazon all fall flat when searching for Analog (or Analogue) to Digital, or ADC devices as they all mix them up with Digital to Analogue boxes - I wonder how many people inadvertently purchase the wrong device - or is it just me!
