Positive review of N100H on CA. Very tempting indeed!!

A positive review, yes.  However, it's a bit annoying that he states that he's listened to the S10 & W20, writes loads about he feature differences (which you could work out for yourself), but doesn't mention if they sound any different.  Slightly frustrating .....

True. And you can see either the S10 or W20 in the second to last picture under his laptop so he must have compared the two!

The W20 is on his C.A.S.H. list and the N100H isn't.

Yeah, great!

That's exactly what we'd like to know. Why does the W20 meet the standards acceptable for the C.A.S.H. list while the N100H doesn't.

And for those that don't know what the acronym C.A.S.H. stands for (I didn't), it's Computer Audiophile Suggested Hardware.

Sorry about the acronym. He isn't the best reviewer of audio equipment because he tends to omit important comparisons. I noticed that your question has been asked by @ErikM in the comments section of the review. Asked but not answered.

I beleive the reviewer at http://www.audiostream.com will review the N100H. He has reviewed the S10 and X100L (He preferred the S10) and is a much better reviewer than Chris at ComputerAudiophile.

I checked with Aurender support and they seem to be in discussions with Roon Labs to integrate Roon in their product range.

Did someone tried Totaldac D1 USB cable with Aurender ?

I read very positive things about this cable and curious if it will reveal its magic on Aurender / Devialet  as well.

Since its has a shielded aluminium box with high performance filters to suppress digital pollutions coming from the computer and Aurender  has USB Audio Class 2.0 output that designed to deliver transparent audio signal free of noise and is shielded from outside electronic interference,

my doubts are how such combination of two components that do theoretically the same thing and designed for same purpose will perform together when combined ?

Mine is still relatively new but it sounds great. Better than the Shunyata USB that I had before. That cable is the only reference I have used for comparison.

The sound is very smooth and getting smoother, there are tons of detail (while not sounding etched) and I now listen with a smile on my face. This is a winner.

That would be great, and quite possibly a tipping point for me as far as buying an Aurender. Looking for that 'endpoint' as Roon call it.

Have you tried an Aurender at home yet Allen? Foxman and I both think they are way ahead of the Naim NDX (digital out) in terms of SQ.  I listed the Pros and Cons from my perspective - top of my cons list is that I don't want to switch from Qobuz to Tidal - but I would be very interested to know what you think about the SQ. Thanks, Philip

Well don't go getting any ideas about loaning it from Paul as i'm getting my grubby little mitts on it again this weekend Smile

Seriously though Allen i would be interested in your view of the Aurender. My NDX has now been updated to play DSD so it will be interesting to see which wins.

I already know the answer to be honest, even with the cons Phil mentions in his post, the SQ is just too good.
