DOS 2.12.3 + Devialet app 1.14: it’s there

No procedure corrects this problem, including the full blown correct reset (WiFi and speakers). Airplay 2 no longer connects. AUX sources do not switch. Speakers randomly restart and randomly play either the right or the left speaker. Or randomly become missing in the app. I’ve spent tens (plural) of thousands of dollars with this company, so I have a pretty short temper when it comes to nonsense like this. It’s not the first time that this sort of mess happened, but it is the first time in which I have not been able to correct it. They best get on it. Every time I have to deal with something like this it becomes more of a guarantee that if Apple ever comes out with a high end speaker, I will drop Devialet without thinking twice. I’ve done exactly that by returning the Geminis and getting the Apple AirPod Pros.

I could have written this EXACT same post. If it weren't for my persistence and resistance to accept their b.s. and not solve the issue, I'd have speakers that wouldn't have worked even before this update. To think that this update was released AFTER beta testing (supposedly) and have these types of problems is completely unacceptable for a "high end" product with a price point like the Phantom Golds.

UPDATE: I left the speakers unplugged last night (out of frustration more than anything else) and powered them back up this morning. Both booted up, were recognized by the app, and play from all input sources (ethernet, AirPlay2, and optic). This of course happened while I was on the phone with Devialet. Works as designed. I was told that in some cases it can take hours for the speakers to completely update and sometimes will disappear, etc. I'm not sure I understand the logic behind all that, but I'm seeing Roon Ready RAAT connected to and playing to the speakers.

For the moment, all is good (again).

Is there an official explanation of what it is?

Is it like an equal loudness curve?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal-loudness_contour

It reduces the bass. On DOS1 it was from 50 Hz and down.

The Night modus is now much better then with spark for the sound quality

Glad to hear, I haven't tested it yet.

I did the same. Left the speakers unplugged. After plugging them in, it worked fine for a while. But as soon as I switched from Airplay 2 to AUX Toslink it all became messed up. And now nothing works again.
I’m sure I can get it to briefly work again with another reboot, but this is not good.

- It is now possible to enter standby mode via the new Remote.

How do I enter to standby mode from new Remote?

Just got an answer on this... long press on the Devialet logo for standby mode!

By try to report do you mean actually submit an email of just open that screen? Every time I reboot, I can get the system to play, so long as I don’t switch between inputs. Even going from optical left to optical right crashes the entire system and then nothing works afterwards.

After it crashes it’s almost as if the speakers are muted. I can select optical left or right but no sound comes out. It connects to Airplay 2, on YouTube for example, and plays connected, but no sound.

Even on the app, when clicking on the left speaker it should make a chirping sound, same with the right. But here, they are both completely silent.

To it does not matter? Not sure if some conflicts read above are happening because of this.

I see that there are no release notes published on the Devialet site at the moment.

I would update the app first. As I understand @invictus005 was using a beta firmware before updating. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Everything’s fine in the end.
2 Golds (paired) and 2 Reactors (unpaired). I just need to update the single Classic Premier.

All working fine but in my case I just stream over Wi-Fi/PLC from Spotify/Tidal. Easy process.
