Did they say anything about a release date?

yep... end of July.

But they can't even seem to get their speaker stands out in GA in less than a year, so I personally take that with a grain of salt.

Did they mention anything about the software?

TBH I would be happier if they made a cheaper, dedicated back channel speaker, preferably with come kind of matched stand. For surround using a Phantom for the non-front channels is probably overkill for the vast majority of us Big Grin

No... nothing, but to be fair, I didn't ask.

So just a more powerfull Phantom then?
Hmm. 3dB SPL more than the Silver. Not exactly groundbreaking.

Everything else is the same?

Beside the amplification power/SPL The bandwidth of Gold is slightly better than Silver/White

GOLD BANDWIDTH
14Hz to 27kHz (@-6dB)

SILVER/WHITE BANDWIDTH
16Hz to 25kHz ± 2dB at 82dB SPL

According to the page there are a few other differences:
- Distortion: 0.0005% (down from 0.001%), Background Noise : 0,5 dB SPL at 50cm (the same measurement used to be quoted at 3m)
- ADH Intelligence v2
- SAM v2
- seems to have a new DAC integrated into ADH Intelligence v2
- the side drivers seem to be white like the non-Silver Phantom but the metal side plates are apparently "22-carat pink-gold-plated" (not really my cup of tea...)

The frequency response is also written differently, 14Hz-27kHz@-6dB | 20Hz-20kHz@±2dB.

EDIT: the NOK price quoted represents a 30% increase over the Silver Phantom's price, applying the same increase to the EUR pricing would put it around 2,600€.

Mmm. 22-carat pink-gold-plated side... Bling bling. Not my taste.
