Stillpoints
#41
Sorry if already answered but where do you find placement to work the best?

i have a range of different footers such as Finite Element Cerabase and Synergistic research Mig's, and usually place only 3 underneath. 1 in the front/centre about an inch back, and the other two at the rear in line with the standard footers and about an inch closer to the middle than where the standard footers are.

Any advice with regards to where the noisiest/vibrating parts are located in the Devialet that the footers should sit under?

I had tried both ways, 2front 1back and 1front 2back, I preferred the latter.

I only tried 1 at the front and 2 at the rear so the back end is more stable with cables hanging out the rear.

When using Stillpoints Ultra SS the best option is to use four of them. I tried three and four option and I noticed better SQ with four footers.

Previously I used four Soundcare SuperSpike but Stillpoints are much much better (and they should be considering a huge difference in price;-))

Rufus,

I only tried the TC's, as I figured for a price like that compared to Ansuz I better go for their top stuff.
Now I actually run them under my Raidho speakers with great results. The Ansuz Ceramic is both better as not better. For my streamer the Ceramic was quite a bit better and on devialet too however on my current Aavik almost no diff at all. The best is to try but for sure on source  like a streamer and Devialets these Ceramic is a no brainer of big measure. The Alumin version from Ansuz are not at the Ceramic level and more on Mad Sci though still gives a profound effect on the Devialet.
Try also under your Melco, for sure you will be surprised!

Mike,

Did you try the Mad Scientist regular or the mini footers?
My master and companion are not stacked.
What size would I need for one D200 regular or mini?

We get good results using Stillpoints UltraSS (with optional Ultra Bases) under our Le200. It did take a few attempts to get the positioning of the Stillpoints optimised under Le200
Four Stillpoints was better than three, they absorb and dissipate energy, hence 25% more absorption = bigger difference.

We noted a perceived improvement in separation (space) between instruments, performance gained weight, solidity and control.

Test system:
Le200,
KEF Reference 1,
TelluriumQ Ultra Black Speaker cable,
Melco N1a server.
Entreq Mains Cables, USB cable, Athena rack, Ground Boxes and Grounding Cables.
Furutech Rhodium wall sockets

Hermanh,

I had the regular ones with 3 under each unit whereof 2 with aluminiumoxid and 1 with tungstencarbide balls, respectively. They effect is noticeable.
Adding Ansuz Ceramic really pushed things to the better in all areas. Nowadays I run Ansuz DTC under my current gear and that pushes things several notches above Ansuz Ceramic, BUT DTC cost a fortune! The magic puck in Ansuz sortiment price wise is the Ceramic. They are well worth trying out to see if the effect is for you but so far I only had jaw dropping comments when demoing with and without Ansuz pucks in my system. In total I run 16 DTC and 3 Ceramic (under filter box) in my system.

Good hunting and test around but these feet MS or Ansuz gives positive effects to my ears.

If anybody is looking for a good buy on the Ansuz Darkz Diamond, Lydspecialisten in Denmark (next door to the Raidho Factory) has a couple of items that have small blemishes, but that still have full function. They sell a pack of 3 for 4000 DKK which is about 537 EURO. I just orderered three of them to use beneath my Devialet 200. Looking forward to trying them out! Here is a direct link to the sale: http://www.lydspecialisten.dk/produkter/...ond-3-stk/
