test audio sample files
#1
Hi there,

I wish Devialet would provide on their web a few audio test and some awsome demo sample audio files. Tried over the web but mostly apps, few audio files.

Any help on where one could find such file?

I could imagine test files:
- left-right tests to check for correct left-right setting
- freq sweep e.g. from 10Hz to 20kHz

Or demo samples:
- from mono to stereo / spatial sound
- deep bass, like movie trailers
- crisp sounds like bells, pins, ...

This all to be able to compare a few different settings in locating the speakers for instance.

thanks a million.

Nordost produce a 'set up and tuning CD'.  This provides bass tones, frequency sweep, left right tests and other similar stuff.  It's not free though!

I’ve got a copy of the Nordost disc, and find it useful for gauging the effect that SAM has on the lower frequencies, phase checks and all sorts of tweaking. Highly recommended!

Our audio club has been using the tests from Audiocheck.net for many years. In fact before we sit down, we run through some just to check. Nearly every time there is something to change, usually due to too hasty assembly

We have picked up tweeters connected out of phase very quickly
