upgrade is back
Hi, sometimes you can already achieve improvement with another setup (move) of the speakers. With the program, you can check acoustics elements, reverberation time, room modes, etc.!

I’m currently struggling with the finishing touches of my new audio room. I still have to find the best placement of both speakers and diffusers, so this calculator might be of great help. Thanks!

„wonder never cease“

Last Friday (Aug., 24) UPS picked up my 220pro for CI upgrade and today (Friday, Aug., 31) I got the upgraded 220pro back. Just out of the box and necessary SW-updates everything is up and running. No issues at all (so far).

Initially I followed the proven rule: “never change a running system” by delaying the upgrade but in the end it has been proven starting the process. Now, my 220pro is at least future-proof.

During weekend I’ll have enough time for SQ comparison between different sources/inputs.

Many, many thanks to the Devialet team and the valuable inputs from forum members.

Where can I buy a pre-out for a D120? I see it is 390€

There is reference in some posts of an on-line store, but I cannot find it. Sent 2 emails to Devialet asking about this, with just an auto-response thereafter and nothing further

Thanks. Is this the correct board for a 120? It states "Expert 120" and the picture is different from the rear panel of the one I am using.

I got the impression from the Configurator that the pre-out board allows you to re-assign an analogue input as a pre-out, for use with sub-woofers. Is that correct? This site is in German so I would rather ask a question here in English

Edit: I sent them an email...

Hi, i took the recent upgrade and would like to tell you of my experience:

I own an Expert 200 which is over 2 years old. In August I received an email from the Devialet Upgrade program manager with details of upgrading my 200 to a 220 Pro with Infinity Core at a cost of 3490 Euro.
It is a substantial amount for an upgrade, but I went for it, because i intend to keep my Devialet for longer and want to get the new firmware and streaming upgrades when they become available.

OK, so i paid online and selected that i want to receive the shipping package. Next day I received an email from UPS they will send the package, which arrived i week later (i m in Cyprus). I packed the unit with the remote and called UPS to pick up the package. A few days later i received an email saying my amp has arrived and the upgrade will take 20 days. Well, only 11 days later it arrived at my home.

Unpacking: New box with 220 PRO inside, with plastic cover, new high end power cable, manual, gloves and SD card. In all it looked like i received a new 220 PRO, but it could be that they polished my old case to make it look like new.

Startup:  the first difference is of course 220 PRO on the display and when going through the input selector, there are more choices, for AIR, Airplay, Spotify, Upnp, USB, etc.

Listening: after warmup, the first impression is the impressive sound stage! Sure the clarity and transparency was there before, but this sounded better! I called in a friend who owns an Audio Research amp with Wilson Watt Puppy 8.1 and he know my system well. His comments were: before (the 200) it sounded a bit clinical, uninvolved, but the upgraded amp sounds better, more life like. And i agree.

Finally I can say, I am glad the upgrade worked well and Devialet did a good job.

Hi Roider,

Thanks for sharing your positive message. Sometimes the forum forgets that sound quality is for most of us the main driver and Devialet excells in this.

I'm surprised your unit came back with a new power cord and an SD card. Wow! I think for most of us this isn't the case.

Enjoy!
