@sven911: Thanks. May I ask are you using Ethernet or WiFi? I’m using WiFi and it has been working perfectly fine, until I noticed this issue with high resolution.

I haven’t got any dropouts, white noise or crackles with WiFi. I’m very happy about this Smile

I am only using Ethernet.

Smile
and very happy with the CI board, well done by Devialet and Roon.
Order v Disorder:

82 posts on the subject of problems with Core Infinity.

I have not returned my OdA to Devialet yet, partly because Quentin Sannie signalled software and possibly hardware shortcomings and partly because I expected just this type of user reaction, though 82 posts in 2 weeks is higher than I thought. But this disorder won't get users very far.

I assume modified units come back to users without clear instructions from Devialet as to how to implement and what is known to work faultlessly, variably and not at all, using some generic kit (Mac, Windows, external hard drive, ethernet, wifi, streaming service). Then (a) users would be reminded of set-up guidelines and (b) their experiences could feed into that database informing and prioritising development.

But I suspect that has not happened. What a surprise!
In the beigining, I had no problem with firmware and DOS but  I could not use my previous configuration with Air/wifi with fixed IP adress, therefore I have created a new one with DHCP on for the airport but also for the macmini. Now Air/wifi and Air/ethernet are available
Hi Patcam - so you have DHCP on is the Roon settings? I have airport feeding ethernet into the Devialet too. I have DHCP on, but results are unstable, and no wifi window on the Devialet.

Actually, the split between problems and no problems is pretty even, things don’t seem 100% yet for everyone but mine just worked following Devialet’s instructions.
Problems with core infinity.

Firstly, with a 1000 pro you can not play dsd via roon and 176.4khz files
it is also an impossibility to use a 250 pro as a preamplifier for a headphone end amplifier
Line out works with usb and aes / ebu but not with ethernet, so no Roon.
When playing with the 1000 pro of dsd and 176.4khz files, the companion is switched off, and you have to disconnect the master and companion from the power to restart.
Strange is that 192khz gives no problem
However, the sound quality is great, a real improvement.
How do we get beta software?
Maybe some bucks have already been removed.
When will there be a new release?
I hope that Devialet will come up with solutions quickly and hope that they know these problems.
My system:
Roon via a fanless nuc (Akasa) with sbooster 19v by means of an Audioquest diamond ethernet connected with netgear switch with 12 volt sbooster and then with vodka to fiber and then to master, so a clean
ethernet stream.
Speakers Bowers 803-D3 with audioquest oak.
My reference are Aurender n10 and CEC TL 3N
I can tell you that Roon sounds more open than the aurender and with more detail.
Especially after the core infinity update, that has only increased.
Anybody else having problem with AIR where the music stops playing after manually changing songs? If I just let a playlist play without doing anything, then it works, but when changing trackss I get no sound. AIR is still connected and the player I'm using (Tidal or Foobar) is still showing that it's playing. Never got this problem before the upgrade. And I think I haven't gotten this problem without changing tracks in the player. Also, it doesn't happen every time I change track, but most of the time.

This is on Windows 10, WiFi to the router from the computer and then ethernet to the amp.

@Jan - Obviously many issues with Core Infinity, which is disappointing.  However, I was quite stuck by your comment "I can tell you that Roon sounds more open than the aurender and with more detail."  The thing is, I would say that the Aurender N10 is amongst the best sounding 'front ends' that I have heard with a Devialet.  Is it a case that Roon AIR sounds better in all respects?  Or is it a case that Roon AIR sounds more open and detailed, but there are some downsides, or to put it another way, is the Aurender is better in other areas?
For those facing a problem, just type in the IP address of the Devialet (it's shown in the AIR app) into a web browser and report your problem.
