You mean Alfa Romeo? Big Grin
This afternoon, i sent an email to Devialet support after noticed that my Dev wasn´t registered in my client area.
Ten minutes later i received a very polite phone call from Devialet (i didn´t expect a call from France...) justifying the issue and promising that the problem would be solved in a couple of days.

I ask about the so-called new firmware and the gentleman told me that something new is coming including a new firmware but first they´ll need to fix that "bug" (was the term used).

All very unusual, but very professional, for sure.
3 months ago they told me something is coming very soon.....

You've previously said an update is coming and suggested it was intended for release in May, you've recently said that it was intended for Q2/Q3 release, you've said it was due for release yesterday. Every time frame you have been given for the release of an update has been wrong. What does that suggest to you?

It should suggest that you should be a lot more cautious about repeating what someone in Devialet tells you on the side because everything they've told you about this for months now has been wrong. I believe you have honestly reported what you have been told. What I'm saying is that your source can't be trusted and you should not believe what you're being told.

There could be a lot of reasons why every date you've been given was wrong. One of those reasons is that they aren't working on an update, and we've had other people reporting being told just that over the past 5 to 6 months. If you look at the history of statements from Devialet that people have reported here over the last 6 months every report about a release date has been wrong and there has been no update released. There's been nothing to show that the people who said there isn't an update coming weren't being told the truth, in fact the only thing that will show that their information was wrong is an actual firmware release.

My suggestion is that people stop posting about whether or not there's going to be an update or about when we will see an update because after 20 months of lots of such posts we still don't know any more than we knew when the last update was released. The only thing worth posting about now is information the an update is actually available for download and installation. Every other statement is worth no more than the paper it's printed on and it won't be printed on paper.

Speculating here, and being wrong, is a lot cheaper than on the stock market and it's a bit of fun. I have a few facts that might back up @markush.

There are two new beta versions of firmware out there. I can't go into specifics of what they're capable of because it could very well be that the configurator needs to be updated for them to work properly. All I can say is that Devialet are working on something, possibly just a fix for RAAT and the app, possibly more, nobody knows.

May explain why they skipped the ios14 update and are going straight to a full blown app refresh. Hopefully including config capabilities.

You should be careful with jokes like this. It seems that people here have a very poor sense of humor Smile

Apologies all - I just figured we could use a brief moment of levity in the conversation and figured everyone would catch the April 1st mention... Big Grin

Devialet says it's IOS 14 came out too early for them to have the 'patch' ready so no, they didn't plan this.
Countdown is over: Firmware 13.2.0 - DOS 2.2.6 is available now. Smile
