From what I understand, it is half of a room correction. You need to take care of the other half yourself. Let me explain: you need a third-party software / hardware solution (software, PC, microphone) to analyze your listening room. The result of that analysis will show you things like 'you have a 6db dip around 500 Hz' etc. Those data points ( e.g. '+6db @ 500 Hz ) you can then plug into the 'sweet room' config of the Devialet and stick in onto your smart card with the regular config. Sp it is an equalizer but you need to know what to equalize, basically.

Hummm... it´s not a very confortable way to fix the room issues, each time you need to alter something, you change the data in the smart card, input the data, listen the result, if not right try again, etc.

I cannot believe Devialet do the room correction in such a harsh way! It doesn’t look like Devialet, I thought they do everything elegantly.
It was like the Apple in computer, now it’s a Microsoft in terms of design.
Releasing a half finish solution to consumer, may be its for audio professional to use it!
But Devialet does show that it still makes progress on Expert (PRO, at least) line. I am excited we got something to play with. It might not be user friendly. But Devialet can explain more on their website, making youtube video, etc. Please do not just direct us to its Help Desk - it should not be just one-to-one, something one guy got this answer whilst another got different answer for the same question......Yes, video might be the best solution. It saves its staff's time too.
I think there is not too much to be excited about the Sweet Room. (If you know how REW and Dirac works, 9 band parametric EQ will only help for a huge issue but won't to any fine tuning) For me the biggest win of today (I think there is no other for me) is seeing there is a investment in the Expert Pro line. I hope they will focus on problems now.
it is the best and most flexible way they can do it for now. For any automated solution you need to be able to connect a microphone to the Devialet which is not possible.
Maybe a new configurator supports to enter the values, but using an editor will be the fastest way to enter all the values.
Maybe a new version of REW allows to export the filter settings in the Devialet format.
9 EQ's are more than enough to get a very good frequency response in any room.

I don't think that is the idea. The idea is that you get an outside tool (e.g. Dirac) to tell you where the dips and the bumps are in your room's frequency response. Once you have them figured out, you only plug the compensation for them into the Devialet config file once. As long as your room doesn't change or your equipment, you should not need to change the equalization. I agree it's not ideal, but then again, it is a freebie.
There is a new colour in the display. I think that's the only difference for me...

9 PEQs per channel are more than enough for pretty good room correction. I get great results with only 3 PEQs with my subwoofers.
It's not so nice solution with manual txt file editing, but I expect UI support in web configurator soon.
BTW, I would like to be able to manually edit main devialet configuration - without web app.
The most important question is how transparent is this EQ - how much it affects the sound quality.
Another question is whether it affects only speaker outputs or also the preouts. I expect both.
