Hi T-Fury thanks for your post - your experience is completely different from mine - looks like it took you around 36 days in total which isn't bad from America to France and back again. Mine has finally arrived at Devialet 33 days after placing my order.

The packages have finally arrived at Devialet - this may well have been caused by a Brexit issue. Once I sent the copies of the invoices over to Devialet this seems to have released the packages.

When I attached the three copies of the invoices to the original packaging I put them in a seperate clear pouch directly next to the shipping label - on the basis that this shows my name and address which is what UPS requested.

I can't see how anyone would have missed these documents being present but I wonder if the fact they were in a separate - though clearly visible pouch could have caused the delay?

Devialet were most helpful once they acknowledged there was an issue.

Hopefully new speakers will be on the way soon.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the Elevate Program. It's really generous as Devialet will accept a Phantom in any condition. The turn over time is good. They have shipped a new speaker in under 5 working days after receiving the trade in. I couldn't be happier at the moment.

Only for curiosity which Phantom(s) did you elevate? I also was very happy to elevate my last Silver Phantom to a Phantom I, 108dB. Still I preferred Silver, Gold.. as speaker name than Phantom I ….dB. But the new lineup is great and energy conscious. Indeed worth the investment.

I sold my five and a half years old pair of Golds and bought two wrecked Golds which I elevated. With Devialet Care I had to put in about €700 extra for a brand new pair of Phantom I 108 dB. That's a steal in my book.

As for energy consumption I could use the excessive heat from the old Golds 9 out of 12 months a year. It's quite cold here in up north.

Has anyone elevated from the UK recently? After Brexit was there any issues at customs with additional duty or tax to pay before the Phantoms were released to you?
Can’t find anything about whether the price per item to elevate is the fixed price or you get stung with additional costs.
I did ask this question to Devialet customer support but deathly silence from them as per usual.

@steve_denney check the thread for kantblues posts. Think you have to fill out extra forms, but I don't think it will affect price. There were problems at customs tho (seemed that they didn't find the papers attached to the boxes...)

Hi Steve
There were no additional charges for customs etc in my case - there were some issues with the speakers being stuck at the airport in France until I contacted Devialet but once this was sorted the speakers were dispatched quickly with no additional costs involved.

I’ve pulled the trigger and gone with the upgrade to 2x phantom 1 golds.
Hoping for an better Devialet journey this time!

Any guidance on packaging and shipping from the UK please? Want to ensure I get it right to get them there safe!

Congratulations! Pack the speakers in the boxes supplied by Devialet and remember to sign and attach the three copies of the proforma invoice. If you don't, the speakers will be stuck in customs.

Do you append the signed invoices to the front of the package with a wallet or something supplied?
