[PHANTOM I & PHANTOM II] Release notes - DOS 2.17.2 and 2.17.3

results:
1. left Phantom always disconnected
2. both touch power on the top are no longer works.

this is shame.

From my experience, when such things happen, it is best to delete the Stereo setup in the App, disconnect the Phantoms from power and start the setup from scratch. It usually works wonders. It seems, sometimes old data is lingering in cache and corrupting the experience ...

I did everything.  Split stereo pair, and even factory reset in web console.  This is unacceptable that their development team did no testing before releasing a new update.

Updated to 2.17.3 (in Italy):
2x Phantom I Gold 108dB, 2x Phantom II 98dB, 1x old Phantom I Classic White.

Everything works flawlessly.

Is it safe/OK now update also old Dialog to 2.17.3 ?

I have 2 original Phantom Whites (1st gen, w/o Airplay) which I have kept up to date and they run new 2.17.3 fine !

But from time to time I need additional Toslink port and I can use Dialog for that. I have now since few years kept it on 2.13.10 firmware, because updating it to 2.15 series was bricking it. After that I had go through some woodoo process (which details I have forgotten) after what it waited 30 mins and then pulled 2.13.10 firmware from Devialet server.

So again, can we expect 2.17.3 update work on old Dialog ?

It did not update. Failed and I had to repeat:

Eversince the last update, I have a problem with Spotify (everything else is fine, roon and such) where nearly each song will play for a second and then restart again. I imagine it has something to do with Spotify connect update from devialet. It's annoying as hell.

playing a video causes extremely bad lagging and stuttering, audio sync is way off as well. turning phantom golds off and playing via stereo system is perfect. really sad.  i was hoping for better playback not worse.
left speaker suddenly went out. then right speaker went out and left came back.
reset the stereo pair and right speaker making a quick repeating sound like a drum machine.

after power cycle left and right speaker on but right speaker still making a sound like a washing machine cycling before it shuts down. then no volume at all. the app cannot control volume either. it's stuck and one volume and i can't change it

ok another cycly and unseat reseat optical cable seems to have resolved the stuck volume issue. i got the two speakers to play and the machine gun sounds has something to do with the audio delay. changing the values seems to have kicked something in place. i still can't get audio to match video though with a big movie file.
youtube videos seem to be syncing though. will investigate and report back if i can solve it or not

setting audio delay in vlc worked to sync up the video and audio. playback is good although there are sudden dropout from a speaker but then it corrects itself quickly. not sure how often it will happen but if not too often i can live with it. if anyone knows what the issue is i'd appreciate it. 

i guess things have been sorted.
