I was using the computer at the time it happened but dont really know what caused it. Just stopped the music on Roon and restarted it and all was fine again, no need to restart anything.

Sorry to hear that man! Make sure to report it on the AIR beta page.

Dont really know what to report but I will do it anyway. I got the impression it was when I had aktivated Fidelizer but not really shure was doing some other stuff aswell with the computer. But I suspect Fidelizer as it makes changes to Windows and that is one of the known bugs that Devialet has on the beta testing page.

The good thing is that it didn't appear when you were doing nothing else then playing music on the computer.
Maybe play around a bit with Fidelizer to see if you can find out if Fidelizer caused the problem.

No it works flawless and if I will go on this route with AIR I intend to get a seperat computer that runs Roon and AIR and nothing else, couple of SSD disks but that is in the future.

Anyone that has got the new Intel NUC Skull or any hands on information regarding them? I see alot of complaining about the old NUC.

This is from the news section.

Thanks. I did not exactly find what is mentioned there but I hv fields as follows;

Roon Devialet air settings

-Use exclusive mode (marked)
- Work around drivers ..... (Unmarked)
- use event driven mode (marked)

Buffer size (500ms)
Max sample rate (pcm) (upto 192kz)
Max bits per sample (24)
Dsd playback strategy (convert to pcm)
Resync delay (0.1s)

Roon audio settings

Dsd to pcm filter (recommended 30hz low pass)
Dsd to pcm gain boost (+6.0db)

Devialet air 3.0
Anything to do here?

If someone can tell me if above is ok or to be changed. Thanks for experts to help on this.

Skull Canyon's fan is noisy. But the NUC6i5 runs quiet.
@archer75 - since you are running the Windows version of AIR 3 I would make one change to your DSD settings:

Dsd playback strategy (convert to pcm)

I would change this to DSD over PCM (DoP). That is what I use, no need to convert to PCM.

One observation today. Playing iTunes and Windows AIR 3 this morning, if I pause a track, AIR disables itself when hitting play. Not a big issue, but different behaviour to AIR 2, and slightly annoying I guess!

Is it the 'always stream to it automatically' setting in the AIR settings still selected? Maybe that is turned off again.

With Foobar, hitting play after a long pause usually triggered white noise for me in previous AIR versions. Maybe this is what happens now when loosing the buffer.
It just shuts down the AIR app. At least it's better than having your ears ripped.

I can pause for minutes now. It does take a second or 4 to get the music playing, but no more white noise like it used to.
I had a minor problem yesterday when ROON entered radio mode and selected music by it self, changing between PCM and DSD via DoP did cause noise, but not white noise. Roon was playing but no sound just some noise I have never encountered before, changing back to a PCM song got it right again and when I tried DSD it worked ok again.

Try increasing the resync delay in Roon.
