So who is going to be first to get white noise out of this version, so far I have failed, and I've never struggled before. The two repeatable ways I could trigger white noise before are now fixed, hopefully I won't find another new way.

They still change the default playback device on connection, really annoying on a multiple use machine.

I've only tested with foobar but the new version no longer pauses foobar when you change input away from ethernet, all previous ones did, it now works like an analogue input. I prefer it this way, but I'm not that bothered.
Yes AIR 3.0.1 also works for me. I tried AIR 3 Beta a couple of times, but got white noise within about 15 seconds, so had been on 2.1.3.

Same here: still get the default playback error (swiched to AIR) after a reboot.
But pausing resumes after a second (the buffer length) instead of 8-ish seconds. Well done!
This is my first post on this forum. I feel motivated to write this post due to two reasons;
1) The decision of Devialet to start communicating with their customers and open Devialet's own forum. Even if just on the topic of Air it is a very promising sign. It is already positively proving to be useful as the discussion on the Air 3.0 beta test version showed some flaws that were reported, confirmed, reproduced and solved. Leading to
2) Air 3.0.1 beta is the first version of Air that is working and listenable in my system and no doubt many others. Chapeau!! (I don't know what that means in French but in Dutch, my native language, is is a big compliment)

Short recap for my case: I started trying to use Air eof 2014 when I got my Expert 120. That was no success due to lots of drop-outs. Then I 'upgraded' my admittedly crappy old laptop (the only Windows machine available to me, normally I run through USB or optical on a Linux htpc) to Windows10.
Then the drop-outs were gone.
Instead I got drop-deads.
Each time after 15-20 minutes running I got a blue screen on the laptop, a reboot, and everything seemed fine until after 15-20 minutes…..
So I more or less forgot about Air until I saw the forum and the first beta for Air 3.0. Installed it and got the 'vinyl like' noises. I really have never heard a Vinyl disk with so many scratches…. So out again.

And now with 3.0.1 beta I have been running for about 6 hours in one go without flaws. Finally. Now if it would run on Linux…. But no chance for that, I read. Alas.

In case I decide to upgrade to the 220 Pro (I am eagarly awaiting a chance to compare my 120 with a 220 pro before spending a considerable lot of momey) I will wait for the coming streamer board and cincerely hope Devialet decides to make it Roon ready!

To conclude, by genuinly communicating with the customers we are much more understanding of the sometimes seemingly slow progress while being capable and willing of active feedback and even support where possible.

I have only had minor problems with 3.0.0 and downloaded 3.0.1 today and will try that.

Only thing when installing it is that I have to clean the registry after uninstalling the old version and disable my virus program to be able to install the new one.
AIR 2.1.3 was nothing but a headache (periodic BSOD, drop outs and white noise).  I quit trying and bought a Sonore microRendu.

Then AIR 3 beta came out.  It worked better than 2.1.3 and actually sounded better - just as good as the microRendu.   It would occasionally result in white noise, but quite predictably - when I used the computer running AIR or if I changed the Devialet input while AIR was streaming.

I'm now using AIR 3.0.1 beta and it seems to be working perfectly (or, at least, I haven't yet found any issues after using it for a few days).    So now I have just as much confidence in AIR as I do with my microRendu.

Congrats Devialet for finally getting this accomplished.  Time to get the production version released!

´Chapeau´ is kind of to profusely in my eyes after years(!) Dodgy
Would have said that, if they fixed the problems within a couple of weeks.

And we are still beta after announcing a running new version for summer Confused
Well to give them their due, Devialet really got their **** together for AIR3 on both the Mac and PC, so I give them full credit for that. Long time coming for sure, but they delivered and I appreciate that.
Installed 3.0.1 last night, not had chance to listen much but did try switching inputs, turning the Devialet off and on again, etc. These things would have guaranteed white noise with 3.0 but were completely stable with the newer beta.

I was happy enough with 3.0 to be honest, never had a problem in normal use, now it looks like the may have finally cracked it! Well done to the new guy the brought in to sort it out!

I may be able to drop the Melco from the signature now.
Is AIR 3.0.1 beta compatible with any firmware? Has anyone tried it with high res or DSD?
