Yes, I have disabled AIR in recording devices. I still get the white noise when initiating remote control.
Hi - just another data point for you: I run Roon on a NUC with Win10 and AIR 3 beta for Windows, and I can easily remote into the NUC from my MacBook using Microsoft Remote Desktop on the Mac without white noise or other issues.

Ditto here. I also have the same problem - white noise - whenever I use Teamviewer to remote into the PC running AIR if AIR is streaming music at the time. Just tried it again to verify. That seems quite consistent.
When you RDP into the machine make sure you set the audio to play on the remote PC. I can see the RDP session trying to redirect sound back out and causing AIR to get messed up.
That setting is in advanced on a connection per connection basis you'll track it down. By default audio is redirected out the rdp session.

Good catch! I forgot about that (my RDP setting is saved to my desktop, so I haven't looked at the details for a while)
My experience with AIR3b has been that it is pretty robust, so I'm sure the OP will get there eventually. It has never once blue-screened the NUC, so what few glitches I have encountered have been easy to recover.

I have gotten White Noise once with the AIR3 Windows Beta. That is when I had started up RoonServer and started music playback but forgot to turn on my Devialet, turned it on and white noise occured once the Devialet was powered up.
Paused and un paused Roon playback and all well.
I must say, for me 2.1.3 is most stable air. On air 3 beta I already run into white noise a few times in 2 days since I install it. And there is pops/clicks on hi-res material all the time.
Can someone please clarify whether AIR3 is supposed to play DSD files on PC with Windows 10?

I can play DSD64 using Roon on a NUC with Win10 and AIR3b no problem.

I can play DSD64 via DoP with Win10, Roon and AIR3.
