Cheers Harry! I also have fact 8s. I was actually the one that reached out to PMC and Devialet to make SAM happen. I have not downloaded the SAM config yet but plan to try it tomorrow. I am running two D200s in mono. I plan to upgrade to the fact 12 in January. I so LOVE the fact line of speakers.
I'm waiting for the Fact12 to get SAMed, fantastic speakers Smile
Would love to see the fAct 12 get "SAMed" but I'm not holding my breath. Fact 12s will be hard for devialet to obtain would be my guess.

Listening to SAM on the fact 8s now. WOW! Very noticable diff. Might have to cancel my fact 12 order!!!!
Just ordered my slave 200 to upgrade to 400 and a pair of Magico S5 so hoping that the 105 votes they have will mean they are done soon.

Hi,

I am about to home demo some SAM:ed speakers! However I noticed that some mention that it is possible to regulate the SAM effect from 100% to none, is that correct as I can't find anything about this on the crappy Dev homepage.

Any kind member who would like to inform!

/Mike
@Mikeeo - Yes, SAM can be adjusted from 0% to 100%. It should be noted that this varies the amount of "bass boost" only, the phase correction remains fully even at SAM 0%. (or you can simply turn SAM off)

thanks Confused, but i face the same challenge! so how can you adjust SAM from 0 to 100%? i mean where is the control for that?
You set one of the remote buttons to SAM on / off. (Usually losing the mute button) Select SAM on, the display shows "SAM on", while this is on the display you can then start to set the SAM % using the volume control. It will stay on SAM % controlled by the volume control until you hit the normal power on / off button to toggle out of the SAM on / off mode.
wow, this is even new to me. I have always SAM on/off on one button and tone control on the other button. In this combination you have the SAM % as a new (last) option of the tone controls (balance, bass, treble, SAM). But your way leaves one button for other things, cool...

Thanks confused

Indeed I have the mute button configured to SAM on/off but it was never clear nor documented anywhere that dialing the volume knob some SAM on is displayed would control SAM %

Thanks again
