Hi Franz, I have the Melco N1A but did not get the Mutec in the end.
Ok, I guess I just have to try it then Wink
As others have reported, if you purchase from Thomann, you have the option of returning it if it doesn't work.
Yes, that's what I was intending to do.

Really looking forward to connecting my QNAP NAS and Oppo BDP 105D to it.  I'm also going to order a DH Labs D110 AES/EBU cable to connect the Mutec and Le400.

I'm going to have to have a serious re-configuration of my rack to accommodate the Mutec.

One question: does the Mutec put out much heat after it's been on for a long time?
Does anyone leave theirs switched on permanently?

Anybody?
My Mutec has been on for a few hours, it is a little warm to the touch, but only a little, it's a long way off being hot.

Thanks, confused. No need to leave lots of space above in the rack then.
I've just hooked up my new MC-3+USB between my NAS  and Devialet (USB in and AES/EBU out), and while I'm noticing SQ improvements, I'm not sure that I'm using it to its best effect.  Does everybody else use reclocking mode?  I have the clock multipliers set to 1. Am I using the unit correctly? Is anybody using an Intona with the Mutec or does the Mutec make the Intona redundant? Can anybody who has had a Mutec in their system explain the best settings to use, preferably with some photo's, please?
Axel - I am assuming your Mutec has shipped with the new V1.10 firmware. (I know teddlesdee's Mutec had the latest firmware, and his was shipped a couple of weeks ago) You have to select 'Intern' and 'Re-clk' plus the USB input as the 'Reference' (second column of lead's). Explaining how exactly is more difficult than actually doing it. There's only two selection /input buttons on the device and pressing them will show you what they do. The first column of lights shows a green light on 'Intern' and 're-clock'. The next column of lights should be green spanning one or both of the USB-PCM / USB-DSD. On the latest firmware the top three lights glow with a PCM input. (only two green LED on the previous firmware if I recall correctly) The next column 'clock out', all light blank. The 'clock multipliers' should all be top row 'x1'. You should then have the blue 'lock' light and the red 'Audio' light. I would post a picture, but I'm miles away from my Mutec at the moment!

Thanks Confused.  I bought my Mutec direct from the factory, thus the new firmware was loaded. I have been using it exactly as you say, so I'm happy. I think this makes the Intona redundant from what I've read. Did you notice any improvement in SQ after a run in period?
