It's only answered until the new card comes out, then it will need re-asking.

Edit, just realised they both said that.
The February edition of Hi-fi News and Record Review (UK) has a review of the Mutec MC3+USB. It is an interesting read. The review is much as I expected and the product Mutec gets an 'Outstanding Product' rating. So far all is straight forward. The lab test results indicated a significant improvement in the jitter spectra when used with the DAC in an Oppo BDP-105, again much as you might expect. The interesting bit is that very little improvement is indicated when used with a Devialet. There is then an article by Paul Milner (Editor) in the opinion section, where he states that he hears improvements with the Mutec with a Melco to Mutec to Devialet set-up. So another one of those audiophile mysteries where what can be heard cannot be measured. Maybe we are all imagining it! Although for me the difference the Mutec made with my D800 was to too stark to be expectation bias. Another point of interest is that Paul Milner's article states that he has been using the Mutec with a Devialet 1000, so I am assuming there might be a review of the 1000 Pro before too long. Having said that, I know Milner has been using a D800 for a couple of years, and that never made it to a magazine review.
Not likely to review any more Devialet stuff now it is not imported by Riccardo!
It is promising that he still uses and has updated his own kit though...
I noticed they were using the Mutec in a review of a speaker earlier.
My digital issue doesn't seem to be available yet Sad
I would say that the Devialet are well built and are not sensitive to many improvements like other stuff with lack of this or that (power supply, cables ... )
My MC-3+USB arrived two days ago. I've yet to use a AES/EBU cable to connect to the 250 Pro (I sold the D-110 I had last year) so I am looking for a new cable. At the moment I use an SPDIF cable with BNC on one end.
The sound with the microRendu/LPS-1 in front is simply marvellous already even if the Mutec needs more break-in. I am using LMS/squeezelite, but now that Roon 1.3 is out I'll switch over during a couple of weeks. I am playing without room correction at the moment. Hope I can finally retire LMS and BrutefirDRC.

Thx for sharing. What are the differences you observed with and without Mutec? I'm on a fence with Mutec+sms200 combination with Devialet soundcard on the horizon, so it would be very help if you share your experience. Also, what are you planning to use for room correction?

Well, first impressions are very positive. A distinct reduction in "digital" character and better separation and cleaner dynamic expression, but also darker or warmer sound. It is definitely too early to be certain though. I started using the upgraded 250 just two weeks ago so it's still breaking in and the Mutec is brand new! I've actually just set up the whole system again after a major rebuild of parts of our flat.
I use Audiolense to create RC filters. I've used Audiolense since early 2011 and get very good results from it. I am playing without RC now because I want as good sound as possible before I do measurements and create new filters.

EDIT: I should add that I doubt I will use the new card unless Devialet either 1) supply AIR as open source so it can be used with head less linux and/or 2) provides for Roon RAAT. DLNA is not for me and I would never play music from a PC or MAC desktop
Another honourable mention of the Mutec MC3+USB in Hifi News and Record Review this month (March edition, spring is here folks! Although it was snowing here yesterday)

Anyway, the following is an extract from a response to a reader's letter from Paul Milner (Editor). "Bass performance in particular sounded just a little cleaner and better extended than it had connecting the Melco HA-N1ZS directly via it's USB output........" "My tests illustrate that the asynchronous USB capture of the MC3+ (and subsequent format conversion to AES/EBU) is preferential to the USB capture within Devialet's 800. Via AES, the Devialet amp reveals more of it's potential.

This reminds me of my streamer auditioning last year. The Melco N1Z was truly exceptional in many areas, but for me was let down in bass accuracy, say versus the Aurender N10 via AES/EBU.
Ordered MC3+USB and sms200.
Will I give up any benefits of this combo if I add minidsp 22d in the chain?

What are the inputs and outputs on the minidsp?

I'd say it's likely there'll be some loss technically, but it kind of depends how much it improves your room - if significant it might not really matter to you.
