I got the beta 4 version and today when I play it really loudly, suddenly it 'boom', the white noise come again.........I 'm so afraid there are some damages in my speakers. I think I would never trust the AIR anymore!
I wonder if Devialet will crack this in time for Munich. What does everyone think? It seems to me that they keep thinking they have solved it but the WN just won't go away, it must be incredibly frustrating for them!

Not a chance!! They still haven't solved the Configurator bugs, and surley this should be an easy fix.

Surely it can't be THAT difficult? We're not talking about putting rockets into space are we?

Ground control to Devialet rocket ship, you have 5 minutes oxygen supply left, rest assured, our engineers are working very hard to solve this issue.
I tried the beta, and that was the worst version to date in my setup, couldn't finish one song in 192khz.
Note: when trying beta software, don't play at high volume...

Have you tried 2.1.4beta1?  For me, with a workaround of disabling my screen power save mode, beta1 works almost without issue.  I am planning to try beta4 at the weekend, but I'm begging to wonder if this might be a step backwards?
I've got 2.1.4 beta4 but I started off trying to reproduce the issue with 2.1.3 and the darn thing is working perfectly, even setting the display power off to 1 minute. Previously it always gave white noise (non bitperfect) or dropouts (bitperfect) exactly when the display power off occurred or shortly after. I've been trying to reproduce it for a week now! I might just try the beta and see if it's any worse or better.

Even when it's working perfectly, we still call it "the darn thing"... How can they ever please us? Smile
I'm really dismayed by this negative feedback around 2.1.4 beta4
2.1.4 beta-1 allowed me stay noise free for 2.5 months, at which point I replaced it with beta 4.
The only time I got noise with the previous beta version is when I happened to start the uTorrent, before AIR - the only scenario which consistently triggers white noise in my set up. I'll try this scenario with beta-4 over the weekend.
Mind you, I don't play 192/24 any more. At most, 96/24
If devialet does upnp (without dialog) wouldn't that be fewer problems for them? Then they can get rid of AIR. they have more incentive to get spark to work eventually.
