Excellent recommendation. This is the sort of album you could use to impress guests with your system, but more than that, it is great music. I guess we'd say this is 'texturally rich'. My dad was a trumpet player, so I've heard trumpet for years. This guy has a soft, expansive tone, almost fluegelhorn-ish, but has the chops to play it all. The bass player is no slouch either. Very nice recording, too.

It would be easy to argue that this is "just more of the same", but when it's done this well, I'm certainly not complaining. Great music, and a superb recording.
