How about using SONICTRANSPORTER for RoonServer and connect it to Devialet using Ethernet cable for AIR?
Does it allow to do it?
Thank you

I don't think this will work as Devialet AIR is only supported under Windows and MacOS, not Linux.

In your scenario you could run RoonServer on the Sonic Transporter, however one would need to run RoonBridge on either a Windows or MacOS system along with AIR.

A Resync delay of 0.1s in Roon
This is exact settings I had. Once I increased AIR3 delay to 1sec it seemed working fine again. You are right I might ignore even if I get a short pause. The convenience and SQ (for my ears USB is almost close to AIR3) AIR3 is offering, I m willing to ignore these pauses and simply sit and enjoy the Music.

Time to focus on the What music are you playing thread from here on ... Smile

To bad that they wont make a version for Linux, AIR and ROON runing on a sonicTransport that would be a little sweet thing.
@Jnan_devi -

I totally agree with you! I will try the change you suggested and report back.

And yes, in the end it is all about the music!
Perhaps a stupid question but if I run RoonServer on for say a Mac Mini is it possible to run RoonRemote on an Andriod Tablet or does that also need to be on an Apple product?

Run RoonServer and AIR3 on a Mac Mini and have my current Andriod tablet to run as a remote.

You may want to post this query on Roon Community. You would get quick responses. But on this forum @hk6230 might have answers as he has done many experiments. I m also curious to note this as I want to go for a headless option than keep get a computer and place it next to Dev.

Hello @octaviars - Here is more information on platforms you can run RoonBridge on in conjunction with RoonServer on your Mac Mini, further information can be found on this thread.

Roon Bridge is a software package that extends Roon's audio playback capabilities to other devices or computers in your home. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, including inexpensive embedded platforms like the Raspberry Pi.
I've tested the AIR3 for a few days now and I guess it's in line with what others have reported
- definitely more stable than AIR2. Was getting dropouts with AIR2.
- got a few hisses but they seemed to have disappeared with the 2000ms setting
- delay on one instance went to 6sec even though my setting was at 2000ms (2sec). A restart of Spotify playing resolved that.
- Spotify Premium and Audirvana 2.5 playing FLAC tested

Sound wise. TBH i've mostly used USB from MacMini up til now. Comparing USB and AIR3, I would say on USB the sound has more dynamics while over AIR sound is more natural. Classical or vocals listeners may prefer AIR.
I'm definitely happy that AIR is perfectly usable, it gives me the real option now of not firing up the MacMini & TV. I can do MacbookAir over AIR, for quick music sessions. Will I stick to MacMini or go to AIR? I'm afraid MacMini is still first option as I personally watch youtube music videos and the time delay however small still bugs me. For music alone, AIR3 is perfectly usable for me.

Fingers crossed the stable release will be even better. Also waiting to see what new features come our way.
Hi all,
New Devialet 200 user here.
I am trying Air for the first time:
I have installed Air3 on my macbook air
I have also installed a beta version 2.14 on my desktop windows 10 computer

I see the little Air icon, but there is not much in settings and on both units it says 'streaming is disabled' and there is no way to change or toggle this.
I tried selecting the Devialet Air as the output device in my speakers but that didn't help either. I get no music out of the Devialet with either. I really don't know how to stream. I'm trying to stream Tidal or Pandora or a service.
I must be doing something very obviously wrong as a first time user!
Help please!!

(I have configured Air on my Dev 200 SD card.)

Run RoonServer and AIR3 on a Mac Mini and have my current Andriod tablet to run as a remote.

You can use any devices (iPad, iPhone, Android phone, Win Tablet, PC or Mac) to be your Roon Remote.
