Hallo, I raised an online help request from the APP...

Eric from Aurender fixed my problem last night, so now all is running...

I am one happy camper, the Tidal integration is stellar.

I have not yet done any critical listing but it appears to sound good...

Kind regards Morten
Calling out to all Aurender owners...

What has been your experience with upgrades to the software/firmware of the Aurender device or the Aurender iPad control point/software?

I currently own the Bryston BDP-2 which I love and sounds amazing but about 2 weeks ago, I upgraded the software/firmware on the unit and ever since the upgrade, I've lost the album art for roughly 22 of my albums. I never changed anything with these albums and only upgraded the BDP-2. I've been exchanging emails with Bryston support but nothing seems to rectify my issue. All music plays but the album art is missing.

I realize that it's not a major issue but none-the-less, the issue is bothering me.

I use to own the Linn Akurate DS digital streamer and sold it because I always encountered issues after upgrading either the firmware or the control point software. Now, I'm not so sure what to do with the Bryston BDP-2 digital player...

The Aurender tech support has been great so far.  Regular updates to the Conductor app (iPad) and firmware within the player.  Their website owner manuals and guides have improved greatly over the past 6 months.  I recently upgraded from the S10 to W20 and was experiencing some issues migrating my music files from my NAS.  To date, I have submitted a tech support question on three different occasions and get a reply from them within 1 to 3 hours.  If you have an operating system bug, they can even remote in and edit things on the fly.

Imho, two thumbs up!

Same experience for me, Aurender's tech support has been great, one of the best. But, as you are experiencing samurai, I also have some problems with art, not much but still maybe 50 on 2000 albums. I know the solution is the tag but I'm too lazy to further investigate. I also have a few albums that fell in the wrong listing. I ripped every thing with dbpoweramp, used the same methodology for all my rips and metadata but still have a few that are misplaced. That I dont know why and didnt ask Eric at Aurender. One day, when it reaaaally bugs me and I have the time, I will sort it out.
To be honest, Aurender has made my life so easy compared to what it was with Mini/JRiver set up. I'm still on a high since 6 months now.
Works great for me. Never had a problem with any of the updates.
Cover art - this may be of interest to some other Aurender users:

Much of my (mostly classical) music library originates from some years ago, when the cover art size was very small, appropriate to an early iPod screen. Being quite impressed with the way the Aurender app handles both front and back HD cover art, I bit the bullet and have now upgraded all my albums with high quality images from various sources, but often by scanning CD covers.

I'm pleased with the result but was yet more impressed when I played one particular album and was idly looking at the covers when the image became magically overlaid by reams of programme notes about the violin concerto being played. My first reaction was to check the text against the CD booklet (PDF supplied as part of the download), and confirmed that that was probably the source, but the PDF file was certainly not filed on the Aurender's disc. With the help of Tagscanner, I eventually located the text hiding in the metadata in the "lyrics" tag.

The CD was from Hyperion, and other of their CD downloads also have similarly embedded programme notes, but I haven't yet come across any CDs from elsewhere with such text, though I imagine some pop albums may well be furnished with lyrics of the songs. Of course it's simple to copy/paste text from a supplied PDF booklet into a track as part of the cleanup of the metatdata that's often required when adding a new CD download into the library. I've no idea if there's any limit to the amount of text that can be embedded in this way, but some may appreciate having this feature available.

Thank you. I'll have to try this.
Hallo, have anybody tried a Aurender with and without a Regen?

I have tried to remove it tonight, I think I perfer it without the Regen. The music appears to be more relaxed and more harmonic, with the Regen it seams to be a tad mere detailed but it is like it is more in your face, without it all is in place.

It is strange, when I used my PC it was much better with the Regen, but the USB on the Aurender is for sure much better...

Are there anyone that have some insights to this?

Kind regards Morten
The USB output on the newer Aurenders are from the W20 design which Aurender states is quite good so Regen may not have much to improve on.
Yes I think you are right, I did a sanity check with my wife, she has good ears but do not care about the equipment one bit... However she agreed with my observations.

It is also strange, the USB output is only 100mA, a normal is 500mA

Kind regards Morten
