Got my Melco this morning but having problems transferring music across when I try logging on it asks for username and password ? What username and password should I be putting in or where can I find them ? Been logging in as Guest and transferring them that way, also cant get the Arcam app to work not sure what I am doing wrong can get Kinsky to work on it ?? Any help would be appreciated and the sound on CD quality music just sounds a lot better through the Melco than just off a NAS Drive.

Not sure if I can help as my music was all copied onto my Melco by my dealer.
I think if you follow the instruction booklet exactly then it says use the Melco name as the username? It has its own number....I dont have the manual at hand sorry.
Also did you mean you can get the Kinsky app to work but not the Arcam? If so this could be because you need to change the mode. it is under the settings menu, under USB DAC then the controller option. Change this to 0. Hope this helps

Nice to read about your success getting things sorted with the Melco.

Nice to read about your success getting things sorted with the Melco.

I did contact Alan Ainslie about the problems trying to transfer files from Mac to the Melco and he did say there seems to be a problem and you do seem to have to do as a Guest not as a Registered User but anyway got that sorted but he did say the Melco App is still a few months away all being well, I have just been informed that they will be adding Qobuz support in a few months as well which is a great addition.
A proper control app for Melco with Qobuz integration would be great!

Things seem to have really turned around for Qobuz since the recent takeover - they're Apparently working on integration for Aurender as well.
"..he did say the Melco App is still a few months away all being well"

Fingers crossed over here Wink
Hi guys, I'm new to your forum but have been following it/ this thread for quite some time, which was one of the reasons i decided to go for the Melco-Devialet combination and I really don't regret it, so thanks to everyone here who wrote about their experience with the Melco in combination with Devialet!

The info about the Melco App is really great, especially the part with qobuz integration.
But since nowadays everybody talks about Roon and its versatile advantages  (esp. the nice UI and meta data handling or the seamless integration of Tidal), I'm wondering if anybody heard some news from Melco if they plan to implement Roon.
And what also would be interesting is, if the Melco then could work as Roon Server and Endpoint in one device since it can be used as server and streamer, or if this is even possible?
Hi

welcome to Devialet chat!

I asked Melco about Roon about a month ago. Alan Ainslie replied, saying that they were intending to implement Roon but they didn't know for sure how much they could do. From discussion on the Roon forum it looks likely that the processor is not powerful enough to run Roonserver directly on the Melco so it may only be Roon speakers. Hopefully they will find a way round it, Roon running fully on the Melco would be fantastic.

regards

Chris
Hi Chris,

thanks for the info!
Sadly it doesn't sound too promising but let's hope they'll be able to somehow make it work on the Melco.

Best regards
