Melco Audio N10 music server and D100 ripper

News from Melco:

Soon there will be the possibility to control the Melco N10 via any browser. The feature is currently in beta! After entering the IP address of the N10 in the URL line, a photorealistic representation of the device front with display and buttons in the browser window appears. You can operate the Melco with the mouse as well as with the buttons on the device.

A classic remote control can be replaced by a commercially available Powerpoint Remote with USB radio dongle. Connect to the Melco and navigate through the menus. Rolleyes

That D 100 Ripper was nice, but little information how to use it as a stand alone ,just a lot of talk how to connect it to other expensive Melco devices that not Roon ready Sad

If its just a ripper it should be possible to use it and just rip to a chosen hard drive and itle export that files where you want to use them and equipment ?

One place said that "connect to a mac using DB Power amp"  ?? isn't that program ware incorporated in the ripper ???

Hi, I ripp with MacMini, D100 and dbPoweramp. dbPoweramp is not part of the D100. Personally, I can get along without Roon very well! Wink
But whats the point with a ripper that cost 990 pound that doesent have any ripper software innstaled ?
Shouldent that be the hole point that they supplied a upper clas ripping software to use and tag

Hi Petter, if you rip with the Melco N .. and D100 you do not need any extra software. The D100 is USB 2.0 / 3.0 standard, and thus platform independent (MS, Mac, etc.). Thus universally applicable! Rolleyes
