Kinsky works, but only plays one track! Tidal and Qobuz also not possible!

Have you tried the iOS Glider app.

I use this with Minimserver and Auralic Aries but have also tested it successfully with Phantoms via the Dialog UPNP beta. Also tested with an Oppo 103 and iPad as renderers.

@alandbush, Glider does not work either, but AK Connect 2.0 (Astell & Kern) is promising! Just take a look!

That’s a shame but I’m glad you have found something that works.

Hi, have some days now tested the app AK connect 2.0 and I'm fully satisfied. Melco via Eth to Devialet, AK streams per upnp with ingenious SQ! Have some play lists created about 500 tracks, plays all without interruption, etc. Which is also gratifying, AK can also Tidal! The search for an app is now done! Rolleyes
Thought I would try the AK Connect app. It recognises the MELCO, it also picks up my TV , but not the Devialet .....I must admit though I prefer the Kazoo app

Hello Womaz, did you activate UPNP as input at the devialet?

Ah no I didn’t. That’s getting a bit complicated for me :-) not sure I like the app either as I think kazoo is more visually appealing

I also like Kazoo better! But UPnP streaming does not work with Kazoo, Kazoo works with UPnP OpenHome and Devialet with UPnP standard. Both are not compatible! Shy
Thanks K4680 I have downloaded the AZ Connect App also and Glider to test, which I will on Sunday. I have 130Pro and CI upgrade arrived, just away for a day or so, Sunday being the day to test.

Melco DSM in Direct Player Mode is what I am looking for also, so the Melco to directly mount the Devialet via a single Ethernet using the front panel for playback selection, this is their cleanest signal path, but annoying with no App for control point/playback etc.

So for two modes,
1. UPnP via App entire Library with Network connection and Ethernet via Mac Book Pro or WiFi via iPhone/iPad.
2. DSM Direct Mode or Direct Player, no Network connected (so no App/Control Point) but single Ethernet to Devialet with zero Network traffic, thus a cleaner signal.

On a previous N272/250DR system I owned I noticed much lower noise floor in Direct Player Mode, and I did prefer it, just having the front panel though for music selection is not the best unfortunately. I couldn't figure out a way to get a control point into the connection chain in Direct Player Mode, even if the switch was not network connected, theory being a control point via MBP using Kazoo/Kinsky on MAC OSX via a switch and Ethernet into the MBP.
I tried the AZ Connect app using my iPad controlling my Melco and Devialet with uPnP.
The sound quality is similar to AIR. Something that I dislike is that if I am watching some video on iPad, the music playback from Devialet is interrupted.

After comparing with my usual playback (Melco to Mutec via USB and Mutec to Devialet via AES) to uPnP via Ethernet, I still prefer the form as the music seems more dimensional and definitely more lifelike. The direct from Melco to Devialet is commendable, there is a lot of clarity. Just lose out in terms of projecting a flat soundstage and less in terms of realism. It may be unfair to compare as I have a master clock ( Ref10) to the Mutec usb to AES converter.

I will still continue to compare and evaluated.  Big Grin
