I have tried the Arcam app with the new hybrid mode - no luck.
I use Kinsky on PC a lot - I agree with nicoludio, it's probably the best version.
The Melco maintains its own Openhome-style track queue in mode 1 so playlists will be available for every UPNP control point on the network
So if one ran BubbleUpNP and configured the Melco as an OpenHome Renderer, would it then be available in Kazoo?

For some irritating reason that only Linn can answer ... no! The Kazoo client won't see the Melco as a UPNP renderer for some reason. Kinsky does though.
The Melco should be visible in the BubbleUPNP client though.

Hi Rufus!
I am currently using Arcam on IPAD with Melco FW 3.0 setting hybrid. Playback is USB. What exactly is your problem with Arcam? App doesn't see the library or player or none of them?

The app can find the library fine on the Melco but not the USB-DAC source - it just keeps searching.

I have similar problem with other devices (Apple TV, Marantz Consolette, Sony TV) in my network, they just disappear as "player". In those situations the magic solution of the IT World RESTART helps. Smile
1) Disable the Wifi of IPAD, then enable again.. TRY Arcam
2) There is a free App "FING", which is very good to scan all devices in the network. You can select the device and ping later individually, too. TRY Arcam.

Restarting Melco, Main Router may be worth trying, as well.

My non-technically proven idea about such situations is that detecting devices may not be always successful, if the network is complicated like mine (Router,Modem,Several switches, power line extension, wireless access point etc.)

Please check attached screen shot. I hope I was able to upload.

Good Luck!

Thanks! I have a reasonably complicated home network too with a few switches & a few wi-fi access points. The problem often lies with IGMP multicasting being blocked somewhere. Thing is I can't figure which switch is doing the blocking. I have to admit I haven't looked too hard though!

I'm not too interested in the CD ripping features as I do it all on PC with dbPoweramp anyway and have my own little habits and procedures, but it's good to have.

Nice to hear that!
Looking forward to testing the new FW 3.0.
Do you think with FW 3.0 the Melco is SQ wise further ahead of AIR 3 again? I'm quite curious about the results of your comparison between the two.

Not a lot in it but I'm preferring Melco v3 to AIR 3 SQ-wise now. I was already a bit biased because I just prefer using the Melco day to day with a UPNP control point than my MacBook Air too so I'm glad I don't have to put up listening to the inferior option just for better usability.

I agree, I can also hear a significant improvement in SQ (more air, noticeably clearer and cleaner, more natural; as if there is less jitter...).
I really like the new FW, kudos to Melco!
I can't compare the SQ to AIR3, but I don't bother right now, just enjoying the N1A  Wink

Just curious - how does S/PDIF feature in your system? Do you not connect N1A to you Devialet via your Audioquest USB cable?

Yes, I connect the N1A via USB. The Diamond S/PDIF is for connecting master and slave, because I couldn't use the Crystal Cable from Devialet since the two units are about 1.5m apart.
