You do have to install Minimwatch elsewhere as far as I know.

Ah ok, thanks!
I have an issue with my Melco. I have always had the display turned off , but last few days I have tried to have this on. Every time I have the display on I get drop outs. Anyone else had similar issues?
I always have the display on.
Sometimes when playing Tidal it has issues to start some tracks and I have to reboot the Melco to get the track playing but never had any dropouts so far.
Thanks for the prompt reply, I was intending to start having the display on, but like I say it drops out on almost every track....... strange

Really strange indeed. But it's really annoying, if you can't use the display any more.
Maybe try to send a question to Melco support, perhaps they can tell you if they know anything like that?
Yes I will do this but they have ignored me lately as I have been asking them when the app will be ready :-)
Maybe it's time to really consider the Aurender
No problems here though most the time I have the display off.

Yeah I have had no issues until I turned the display on. Then after that almost every track drops out. When I first got the Melco I used to have the display on and there was no issues.

I can understand that.
I also once thought about getting something else, I especially looked at the Antipodes server since they have really good reviews e.g. from DAR but they are quite pricey and really hard to get here in the EU.
But since it's working quite fine for me with the BubbleUpnp app and I'm ok with local and Tidal streaming (without Roon for now), I decided to stay with the Melco for now. And who knows what the new mysterious streaming board will bring, then you really might need the Melco only as NAS from there on, or maybe not...  Wink

You make a good point, but I won't get the streaming board as I won't be upgrading. At the time if purchase I was told the app was imminent , that's what's annoying. So after a full year maybe it's time to look at the Aurender. The Melco is a great piece if kit and good value , but it's pretty ugly IMO , and the lack of app is Noe starting to wear me out :-)
I have considered buying an android device for bubble upnp but not sure how much better it is than the Lumin app I am currently using
