Oh I get all excited when the Melco thread comes to the top of the postings, as I think it has to be the app finally being available........ Disappointed again :-)
Kinsky so so dated.

Agreed wrt Kinsky, which I only use with the desktop?

Have you tried the Lumin app? More user friendly than Kinsky.

I did try it yes and I preferred it, but I had loads of issues with it. It kept losing my music library, as did the Arcam app......I therefore went back to Kinsky. In its defence it is solid and reliable, but it is so dated.
It wouldn't be so bad even if Kazoo worked but it appears to be incompatible, and many of the features would be on the Linn DS as opposed to the control point anyway.
I've never really got on with the Lumin app. I find the icons confusing! Having the tracks indexed in the control point can be a blessing or a curse too.

Yes Kazoo did not work for me either. The Melco is a great product, but the app situation is frustrating.

It was (briefly) a blessing when firmware 3.10 messed up my library. Could still use the Lumin app to play the library loaded onto the iPad when Kinsky didn't work. That is, until I reloaded the library
I have been thinking more than one time about a Melco but after using Roon with AIR3 any other controlpoint than Roon is out of the question. If Melco is making there own app it better be darn good to compete with Roon. Perhaps get Roon Ready is what would benefit Melco the most, I see many companys trying to do there own app, I mean why not focus on the thing they are good at building nice sounding machines and leaving the GUI to someone who is just focusing on that.

Anybody tried Melco with a Mutec?

Thanks octaviars for asking, I was thinking about the same, since you hear so many great things about the Mutec.
My question is, if the Melco-Devialet combo would still be recognized as Upnp-renderer, since there is a conversion from USB to SPDIF (preferredly AES)?

Thanks. The MBP is probably the culprit. Screen and power supply are noisy.

Definitely true.. not that I has not been amazed by the sole AIR 3 performance in the first place. And I was "obsessed with an "wireless, noiseless data" transfer idea. Not to mention easiness of playing music through laptop (via iphone or tablet). Absolute minimalistic hifi, dream that most Dev are trying to catch. I wish that dream was real Sad
