If so, and if Devialet can finally find a solution to the known AIR issues..then that can be a very nice solution indeed.

According to their white paper, all music inputs from AIR-ETH or AIR-Wifi goes straight to the internal low-jitter Master Clock. As to how well it removes the jitter, that's everyone guesses. And AIR is a great feature, if it works in your setup.

Intel NUC 5i5RYH + 8GB RAM + 128GB M.2 SSD
TeraDak DC-200W 12V/13A Linear Power to NUC (replacing original power cable)
JPlay 6.2, ASIO, Classic
iFi iUSBpower, Mercury USB cable, iPurifier

Roon Remote is Win8.1 Tablet

Further improvement: USB Regenerator + Jitter removal (China-made), I believe quite similar to Uptone Regen but different implementation. And it is less than USD80. Will update on the performance. Expected delivery tomorrow.

Future upgrade wishlist: Audioquest Jitterbug, iFi iUSBpower 2

HK can you write quickly step by step on your upgrade?. And few questions.

1) Audio stream from NUC to Devialet through USB ?
2) How to install Roon on NUC ? ( i mean literally how Smile )
3) AIR is in use for all this setup ?

Hi Jnan,

I'm using Devialet AIR-ETH from my NUC to Le200. Download Roon from roonlabs.com and when installing just follow the instructions. Very easy and straightforward. After installation completed, in Settings->Audio, enable Devialet AIR, click on the setting wheel and select Use Exclusive Mode, Use Event driven mode, Disable Volume Control, and DSD over PCM. Make sure Devialet AIR 2.1.3 is installed on your NUC, preferably running Win10.

Happy trialing.

Gary - Does selecting Event driven mode effectively give you WASAPI. or is WASAPI specifically selected somewhere?  (I'm planning to try the 14 day trial next weekend, this gives me the chance to maximise my time with Roon when I have some free time over the Easter holiday we have in the UK, so I am just planning ahead a little. I'm sure this will all be clear when everything is set up on my PC.)
Wasapi is by default.
I am experiencing problems running TIDAL. Most of the times, it has connection problems (although I have an internet without problem) or some times it did play only the first track and then it stops or it does not play at all. Anyone else having the same issue?

Only a couple of very short glitches over the past six months or so, but never knew what it was down to - could have been ISP, Tidal servers, Roon, or my network I suppose. I have pretty fast Virgin broadband but it does flake out every now and then.

What sort of thing happens and what's your setup?

I was suspicious about it is bcs of "Hotspot Sield" was on and when I turned it off, TIDAL works okay. I will monitor the situation if this was the cause of the problem.

My setup is Win10 laptop with Roon and using TIDAL through Roon and feeding via USB to SBT.

hk6230 thanks for offline help on Roon trial.

Few words: fantastic experience.  The write up, credits, lyrics is simply euphoric. I could dig out some old records which I never played were streamed on Devialet for the first time. I felt software was expensive but kind of features I'm uncovering, is simply awesome.

My future will be NUC+ROON for sure.

FYI-Downloaded Roon on MacBook-Air, streaming to D over USB. AIR is producing noise. It was good earlier when I stream over iTunes. For now controlling Roon manually. So end up playing full album by album. Don't want to get out of my chair.
You're welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying Roon.
