The iPhone App will probably have the biggest impact in our house, so am excited it came early (so to speak Wink). From a single dedicated iPad, to three devices, will be much more convenient. Makes the idea of multi room seem a bit more appealing (not that I've got the rest of the kit yet). It's a bit small on the 5S but I'll probably mainly use it for start/stop convenience and the odd track change.

Radio is disappointing but I'd already decided that beforehand. It's great they added it in as a first pass, but I'll stick with TuneIn / Chromecast for the time being.

But all round it's a great update, albeit a lot behind the scenes. It's faster, tidier, more convenient and lays the groundwork for the whole thing to grow. I'm guessing by the delays that RAAT and Linux was biting off more than they thought initially, but they came through in the end.

Now I can start longing for 1.3 or maybe 1.2.2 and some room correction and Qobuz love. At least I can play with the iPhone remote and the Pi in the meantime. Smile
I have the app on my Android phone and it works very well. Hopefully will have Roon Core on the Antipodes next week.
Roon Remote on Android phone is better than iPhone. On Android phone, you can use the phone as an audio output, too; ie. you can stream Roon music and listen on your phone.

May I know is it easy to get Roon working on the Pi? Are you installing RoonBridge onto it? On Pi, what will be the audio device output to Devialet?
I find the new Internet Radio feature pretty good, actually. It is better than Tunein (on Sonos or Bluesound) as Tunein is pretty much blocked in China. And, using Roon, I can play high bitrate radio like DemonFM (320K MP3, UK), Radio Paradise (320k AAC, USA) without much glitch. I believe Roon buffers the music for smoother playback.
Just woke up. Will update now

Wow! But I guess it's matter of time it will be made available
All good. After IPad 1.2, all my yesterday's problems vanished.

Enjoying my music now.
