This is most odd, as my companion reports it does not have a wifi or duet board installed. Wonder how it will come back.

Urrrr?

That makes no sense to me....why would they put the board in the Companion?
I'm wondering if the intention is to remove the physical link between master and companon and instead use a protocol like AES67 to sync units together? Hence a CI board in the slave unit too. That way it would be easier in future to integrate Pros with no-Pro products too, perhaps in a 5.1 system.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it was Guillaume who received word from Devialet that they were also going to do some adjustments to the mother board. Hence they need both Master and Companion. As for the remote, I think it might be that they want to fix the issue some Pro upgraders had with the volume going up by itself.

If your suggestion is correct this would simply be brilliant! Using SPDIF as link between two mono blocks is not the best and there is no room for more units. Linking via a ethernet protocol would solve all of this.
I wouldn't occur to me to think that Devialet would actually remove features like the Room Air.

I have two vinyl inputs (stereo and mono), but I also use streaming extensively, so my wish is to have Qobuz onboard. I also have optical input from Sky Q and coaxial from a DVD player.

I don't use Roon as I don't use Tidal. I listen mostly to classical. I did a trial of Roon for a few days and I think I know more about classical music than Roon. The main thing I want are album booklets, most of which are now provided on Qobuz.

I have two pairs of Harbeth speakers. All Harbeth were SAM profiled. I recently changed from SHL5+ to SHL5+ 40th Anniversary Limited Edition. Those and the M40.2 49th LE were profiled last week, which is quite impressive given they were sold in very limited numbers.

It has never occurred to me that they might change the phono stage. I have no idea why they should.
For those who haven't received the email, please notice that the email is only sent to registeted OdA user who would have the first batch of upgrade.

However, staff at devialet confirmed that starting from next week all purchase of new Expert pro will already installed the new os board. So who purchase Expert pro next week are the real first batch owner of new OS board.

This is a classic example of the misinformation rumour mongering that NickB has posted about. The statement above is absolute rubbish and not true. I have a 220 Pro. I don’t have a OdA. I accordingly received the email on the 17th Oct which clearly told me that after 7th Nov, Devialet would contact me to arrange a date for return of my amp to facilitate the Core Infinity upgrade. They further stated it would be subject to my purchase history, so I anticipate that I will have to wait a while because I only sent my original 120 to them for upgrade to 220 in December last year, a while after the original upgrade offer was made.

I don’t know but it might be that I am in the loop because having bought my 120 second hand, thereafter, all my dealings have been with Devialet factory including two product returns to them. Many of you have original connection through dealers. There maybe a breakdown in communication here causing owners to be not on the email list inviting upgrade. Yes, I expect you have all registered, but I suspect this might be a reason some have received the email and others not. That is my pure speculation which I sadly offer, because in my opinion, much that is written on this forum is based on very similar wild speculation.

Yes I know Devialet don’t tell us what we want to know, but posting with wild speculation has no part here and simply does nothing other than to promote rumour based uncertainty.

If you haven’t received your email, firstly talk to your dealer. Thereafter, talk to Devialet. I’m sure that will sort it. Hope so.
I get my mail from devialet 17 of october telling me that they have a little delay but after 17 of nowember they are ready too start the process by have os sending our devialet too Paris , When i recive the mail who tell me that UPS Will come and take my 220 Pro i don,t know only that is after 17 of nowember.

I've received the email with below contents:

I post my previous comment base on 4 facts:

1. the email clearly talk to OdA user by the wordings "Our teams will reach out to arrange a priority upgrade of your Original d'Atelier at your convenience."
2. both the email wording "priority" and devialet all along announcement told us OdA will be the first batch of upgrade.
3. my dealer phone me and confirm me OdA will be the first batch of upgrade and help me to arrange all transport.
4. I saw most user reply that haven't received the email are not OdA user.

According to my gathered information made me have a rational reasoning why some non OdA user haven't received the email, not a gut feeling nor "wild speculation" as your said.

Your reply given us another fact that 220 pro user does received the email with different contents, that help us to closer  the truth:There is not ONE email but different emails with different contents, and different Export Pro user may receive different emails. However it don't conflict the fact that OdA user may have the first batch upgrade.

This definitely the meaning of sharing in forum, we share and gather different pieces of information we got in hand and improve the accuracy and completeness of the puzzle. All our reply, including NickB you mentioned,  have contribution to the post.

So please don't wild speculate other people are wild speculation and said their reply is "absolute rubbish", these words is so wild and offend other users, also hurt the sharing motion in forum.
I've received the same emails as O'da users which tells me that as a 1000 Pro owner i will be receiving priorirty upgrade.
