I sent my D440 in, packed each in a separate carton, and then placed into the larger carton that holds both.

Weight per Fedex was 60lbs or 27.22kgs. So that is, as noted by Axel, just one of the units.

As an aside, when I did the Pro Upgrade last year and sent them back to Paris, they went together as a set and came back as a set from Devialet via UPS.

That being said, looks like they are doing things differently this year.
When I asked Océane whether I could send my amps together in the big box  Here is her reply:
Dear Alex

I re checked and only the first upgrades (not the core infinity) used the bigger box.
I confirm that it is not possible to use only one label for one single pack this time around;
Both units must be in separate carton boxes.

Unfortunately there are no other choice, and we won't be able to proceed without two boxes.
The reason is purely logistic on our side I fear, and necessary even if troublesome. I apologise about that.

Good day,
Océane | Customer service & support Devialet

Perhaps it was different for you guys in the States.

Each part of the 440 is a separate carton, and my UPS tracking shows that one carton is in the UK and the other in France.

I imagine that Devialet has agreed a standard carton size and maximum weight with UPS - the OdA and 250 must weigh more than the 120 (130?). For this reason they seem to have insisted that monoblocs be sent as two separate items, rather than consolidated in the single packing crate.

I can only imagine that as Devialet released all their completed updated units on the same day, that there would , inevitably, be the risk that two cartons consigned to the same customer could be separated.
Did you get two separate tracking numbers for the return or do they both appear on the same ticket? I was only given one.
@Axel - Yes, it must be different for us folks in the US. I know I am not the only one (in the US) who requested a single FEDEX Label so I could send the two units together in the bigger box (master pack). The US-based team had no issue honoring the request. They merely asked that I attach the individual labels they had previously sent to the individual boxes so they could be scanned upon receipt.
I just went to register to have my two 220Pro's CI upgraded and the return date reported was 20 days making it Jan 1st, 2018. I going to wait until the new year as I don't want to be without the system over the holidays.

Pity it took this long to get Devialet to identify the units. I had to get support involved to find out why I hadn't received notification of the CI install. It's probably for the better, as I only use Air ETH (Roon) and from what I understand your current choices are USB or Coax. Looking forward to the early returns to hear what owners have say.

Axel,

Two separate consignment numbers, although the second number only appeared on My UPS the day after the first. I also received two e-mails from Judith with different tracking links.

Axel,

Two separate consignment numbers, although the second number only appeared on My UPS the day after the first. I also received two e-mails from Judith with different tracking links.

This morning I received another email from Judith, three days after the first with another tracking number. Looking at both on the UPS page, it states that A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.”

From this, it is diicult to ascertain whether the amps have left the factory, but I’m not going to worry about it any longer as I know that both of the amps have been fitted with the CI board and are in the shipping system. I’m looking forward to listening for any changes in SQ - hopefully for the better - after the upgrade.
I got my D1000 Pro companion device back today. I haven't heard anything regarding the master device, but I hope it comes back soon.

Unfortunately I noticed that the companion device got multiple new scratches, so I'm not happy about quality of the upgrade process. How hard it can be to handle these devices carefully during the upgrade? Let's see whether I need to send it back again.

Please check your devices when you get them back.
When did you send it? I haven't heard anything yet...

About 2,5 weeks ago so it was a very quick upgrade. But why did they have to damage the casing? The device was like new before but now it has scratches on top Sad
