my 1000pro CI configuration enables Ethernet, TOSLINK and AES on the master and the pre-out for the sub on the slave.
Both amps are connected with an SPDIF to AES cable. SAM is disabled and I have switched both channels so that I don't need to cross my speaker cables. I'm using RC3 and TOSLINK and AES are working fine. AIR via Ethernet is not working stable and stops working after I select another track. But master/slave operation is working fine so far.

To keep things more simple (I can do my rant in next Post), sequence of events from my trials tonight:

  1. Removed SD cards from both Pro’s
  2. Removed power from both Pro’s
  3. Reformatted both SD Cards (to remove all info) 
  4. Loaded RC3 onto both SD Cards 
  5. Loaded SD cards into each Pro
  6. Plugged power cords back into both Pro’s
  7. Waited for software uploads to complete
  8. Removed SD cards from both Pro’s
  9. Removed power from both Pro’s
  10. Reformatted both SD Cards (to remove all info) 
  11. Loaded config file onto Master SD card
  12. Loaded SD card into Master
  13. Loaded config file onto Companion SD card
  14. Loaded SD card into Companion
  15. Plugged power cords back into both Pro’s
  16. Powered up both Pro’s
  17. Both power up ok, and showing standard info on windows on top of Pro’s
  18. Sound only plays through the Companion – Master speaker doesn’t play any sound
  19. Sub-Woofer doesn’t play any sound
  20. For info Master is set to always start on Optical 1 (TV input)
  21. Switched to Spotify and plays music, but again only from Companion (music plays form 5 minutes, no problems except for sound only from Companion)
  22. Switched to Airplay, but no music (shows Airplay on both Master & Companion)
  23. Switched to Air (Roon), but no music (shows Air on both Master & Companion)
  24. Restart 1000Pro, and again sound only plays through the Companion (TV, via Optical 1)
  25. Switched to Spotify to play music, but this time no sound from either speaker
  26. Switched to Airplay to play music, and also no sound from either speaker
  27. Switched to Air (Roon) to play music, and also no sound from either speaker
  28. Try restarting 1000Pro another 3 times, but same as 25 to 27
  29. Removed both SD Cards, which triggers both Pro’s to default config
  30. Restart both Pro’s and they turn on ok, but no sound from Master (this is where Optical from TV is plugged into)
  31. Recycle through outputs and top window correctly shows Air, Airplay, Spotify, etc., etc. (can’t remember the full order)
  32. Power down both Pro’s
  33. Reinsert SD cards
  34. Restart both Pro’s and my config reloaded
  35. Both Master & Companion showing standard info on window on top of Pro’s
  36. Sound only plays through the Companion (Optical 1, TV) – Master speaker doesn’t play any sound
  37. Sub-Woofer doesn’t play any sound
  38. Recycle through outputs and top window correctly shows Air, Airplay, Spotify, etc.
  39. Had enough, getting no where, and really wish had never had Core Infinity upgrade, but here in Australia we were told only option was to do during current tour by Olivier (2 days in Perth, 3rd & 4th April)
  40. Have a guess what I think of Devialet (not very good thoughts)

I had earlier added a right bitchy post earlier, but then realised this wouldn't help anyone else on Devialetchat (it would help me get my frustrations out, but not help anyone else), so deleted it and put the list instead.

Thought if I put some concise detail of what I've tried then this may be useful to others. I do realise that there are plenty who have had a pretty smooth upgrade experience, but there may be others who are partly having the same issues as myself. It feels good to have a bitch and let off steam sometimes, but the real value of Devialetchat is the info/feedback/support from it's members so thought best not to only think about myself, but others (not looking for brownie points here).

I've sent the 2 detailed summary listings one yesterday and the other today to Mathieu Pernot (believe he's one of the Lead Engineers at Devialet), but am getting little if any feedback. Only one email received from Mathieu today and all it said was "Any update?". If this is the grand total of the brain trust at Devialet then we're all in for a looooooong time waiting for progress with the software updates (sorry, just a tiny bit annoyed at this one only email form Devialet).

The new CEO is probably to busy wining and dining sponsors, dealers, partners, etc. to worry about us underlings (customers).

@Celts88 I know this is not a solution to your problem, don't bite my head off! But have you thought of going 'D250' for a month or so? This should at least give you a robust working system in the short term, whilst you await a proper fix from Devialet. Not ideal, but might be less frustrating.

Guess who just sent me an email literally 10 seconds ago just as I'm typing this reply back to you, Mathieu asking me to try each 250Pro without SD Card (Factory Config).

Just about to give it a try now.
Ok, firstly the good news, after pulling all the cables back and forth early today it turns out one of the spade connections to my Master (Left) Speaker had came loose and was slightly sitting out. Put back in and retightened and sound from both speakers.


Master Pro250 (set-up Single 250Pro, factory config, no SD Card):

1. Removed SD cards from both Pro’s
2. Swapped all speaker cables to Master Pro
3. Powered on Master Pro
4. Sound plays through both Speakers (via Optical 1, my TV Input)
5. Switched to Spotify and looks like playing music in player, but no music (shows Spotify in Pro top window)
6. Switched to Air (Roon) and looks like playing music in Roon player, but no music (shows Air in Pro top window)
7. Can’t switch to Airplay as Pro only connected to Ethernet, no wi-fi therefore can’t connect Airplay
8. Switched back to Optical 1 (my TV input) and sound plays through both Speakers
9. Checked Pro and showing RC3 software in Pro top window
10. Cycle through inputs and showing Air, Spotify, Airplay, and all the physical inputs
11. Check Devialet iPhone app and showing all physical inputs, including Air, Spotify & Airplay


Companion Pro250 (set-up single 250Pro, factory config, no SD Card):

1. Removed SD cards from Pro
2. Swapped all speaker cables to Companion Pro
3. Swapped Ethernet to Companion
4. Swapped Optical from TV to Companion
5. Powered on Companion Pro
6. Sound plays through both Speakers
7. Can’t switch to Spotify, input not showing in Pro top window
8. Can’t switch to Air (Roon), input not showing in Pro top window
9. Can’t switch to Airplay as Pro only connected to Ethernet, no wi-fi therefore can’t connect Airplay
10. Switched back to Optical 1 (my TV input) and sound plays through both Speakers
11. Checked Pro and showing RC3 software in Pro top window
12. Cycle through inputs and not showing Air, Spotify or Airplay, but all the physical inputs cycle through ok
13. Check Devialet iPhone app and showing all physical inputs, but no Air, Spotify or Airplay

Can I suggest that as there are known issues with RC3, and that most who have tried it have gone back to the previous firmware version, that you only use the beta 12 ?

Yep, will give that a try, but 1.50am last night, 3.30am on Tuesday & 1.15am Wednesday (and I have to get up at 5.30am for work), think I'll need to give it a wide berth for a couple of days as my wife is not to happy with me at present.

Got the TV playing through both speakers (my 1000Pro is set-up in front lounge, so not just hi-fi) so that should do me for now, and then can give it another go sometime during the weekend.

Got to be a software glitch as keep getting different outcomes when swapping between RC3 & Beta12 (the issues are not even  consistent with the same software version).

Appreciate all the advice.

PS  Not trying to bog down this thread solely to myself, but hoping if anyone else has issues now or in the future my summary listings may help others if they have similar problems (and all the advice I've received). That info from @Pim regarding storing / loading the software and configs should be made into a sticky (don't know if this forum can do that). Also your advice about using Chrome & clearing the cache.
