Full Version: Invitation to send your PRO to Paris

I didnˋt send my 220 to Paris until now waiting for feedback from the press presentation, which Quentin Sannie has announced for last week. Until now no information in the web....
So I ask myself if there is further delay or if they postponed the press release for another reason, e.g. announcement of spotify hifi, which sime people predict very soon...?
I haven't been on DC for a while so I'm not sure if this is the correct thread, but I wanted to give an update on my Canadian CI upgrade experience.

I received the email with the upgrade eligibility notice on Wednesday 15 November. I received the shipping label on the Friday, two days later . I called FedEX on Saturday and arranged for the pickup. The amp was picked up at my office in Vancouver at 4:30 pm on Monday. It arrived in Quebec at 10:30 the following day, Tuesday. Wednesday 23 November, I received the email from Judith indicating that my amp was being upgraded. Today, Friday the 24th of November, the amp was returned to my office at 10:25 am.

In summary: out Monday afternoon; returned Friday morning. A turnaround that can be measured in hours as reasonably as in days.

Absolutely amazing, and I'm sure all will agree; remarkable service. Will now take day off work to reinstall precious jewel in system.

I wouldn’t have presumed opening the case and swapping out a hardware board was actually very difficult to do, but the shipping and turnaround did seem quick in your case. ...Ignoring the fact that what you’ve been upgraded with isn’t actually finished and is way behind schedule of course.....

Hope you get a chance for a listen this weekend as would be great to hear your thoughts. Markush is the only one on DC that has mentioned getting the Infinity Core upgraded Pro Unit(s), so would be good to hear some more thoughts what you think of the SQ (even though the software is still only at Alpha stage).
I messaged D the other day asking if the website would be updated the explain how the new software works. They called me yesterday to say that will happen. My other request is an on/off button on the iOS app. The conversation suggested delivery and having software etc ready is being aligned for mid December. Fine by me, to be honest anyone who sits at home every night listening to music at this time of year needs to get a life, plus the fact that with two boys cricket has taken over late night activities.
D also hinted at some surprise unannounced features. I will save Hifi_swlon the effort of posting that the surprise will be that it won’t work. I don’t sit up at night dreaming about new features, but my curiosity was piqued.
(Ramon is clearly a delighted customer. Post 405, pouring cold water on his happiness, it just sad and unnecessary.)

Hope your right about Devialet getting everything sorted for mid-December, no one will complain if that happens. Also if the surprises are good surprises then again everyone should be happy.

There's a lot of people who've owned Experts far longer than yourself, hence they've had far more dissapointments along the journey than yourself. Yes, we all want things to go right with the IC board, but past experience hasn't always been the best for Devialet (lack of communication has exasperated this no end).

Agree it's great for Damon (Ramon must be his twin brother Tongue )  to get his Pro back, and can't wait to hear what he thinks of it.

Cricket - bugger that I'm Scottish so Rugby it has to be, and we're going to thump the Aussies tonight (pretty please with sauce on Big Grin ). Been in Aus 30 years so now a Scaussie, and well acclimatised (go the mighty Saints - AFL). Glad my weekends aren't now taken up with travelling around endless sports grounds, etc., but happy times looking back at the Rugby, AFL, Netball, etc. games we took our kids to over the years.

Hope things go well with your upgrades ssfas, and here's hopeful for the surprises that Devialet have in the wings for the IC board.

I was advised we would be later in the scheme of things for the up grade.
