If you would like the Core Infinity board being Roon Ready - Please contact Devialet by using the official channels mentioned below.

I don't know about the log - I have asked that from Océane but she hasn't replied to this.

They don't take the survey on here in consideration because Devialet Chat is not of the their official channels. Please see below what she (Océane) told me:

Quote:Devialet Chat is not one of our official channels. We have no mean to record and quantify the info on it.
We can glance at it, comment on it, but we can't use it as a tool to guide our road map.

Our channels include phone calls, emails, chat, facebook, twitter. On each of these, every time a client or prospect contacts us, we can qualify what he expect from us (features, technical resolution to issue; pre sales info etc).

Anyway please raise your voice here: https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/artic...tober-20th
This is especially for Expert Pro / Core Infinity communication!

According to Océane (Devialet support) they have only 4 customers asking for Roon RAAT at the moment. Below is a direct quote from a message that I got from her today.

Quote:Dear Petri,

With Sebastien we created specific contact reasons to record how many persons ask for a specific feature on the Core/Expert. I am adding this ticket to Roon RAAT requests. I have 4 demands at the moment. Anybody contacting us by email, chat, phone, facebook and ask for a specific feature will be recorded. And I can on the fly extract the numbers for the executive team here !

probably she should read their own thread.

there are more than 4 requests just there....
Anyway it seems my fears were correct.

I am sorry for all the O d'A owners who got short changed with last year upgrade program and now they are forced to be the beta tester of this new Insanity Board.  I am in NZ and usually we are the last ones to have the upgrade program started, in this case it is a good thing, I am better off siting tight and waiting to see how this marketing shambles develop. looking at the positives, Roon/Air still working great and today I am receiving my new REL G1 Mark II Smile

I don't use Roon and amongst all Devialet owners I reckon I'm in the majority.

I'd not heard of Roon RAAT, so have just looked it up and it appears to be something similar to Airplay and Devialet Air.

So why should Devialet start accommodating AS A PRIORITY a service for a third party system when they already provide their own, and I understand Roon and Devialet Air works very well.

Perhaps someone can explain why Roon RAAT is so important and should take preference over implementing, for example, Qobuz, which for many users is their main source of music.

Last I heard Devialet Expert is not a platform for Roon users, it is a platform for music listeners some of whom use Roon.

by this token I could say I don't care about Qobuz because is not available in NZ...
Just goes to show that you can’t make all the people happy all of the time.

For me personally, it is a disappointment because I think it could have been so much more.

I wish the CEO would give me the option to not install the board and refund the 1700 Euro’s that they propogated it to be worth.
Hopefully all Devialet users are music listeners, but there are many different implementations.  A significant number of us use Roon and had problems with Devialet AIR which were solved with the Roon AIR integration.  We see further benefits with Roon RAAT and have been responding to Devialet's assumption that there is no demand for this.
That is not to suggest that Qobuz is not a priority for many users.
@ssfas, @[email protected] - There is a good bit of history as to why Roon users would love to see Roon RAAT implemented, and much of it has to do with the many serious ongoing problems with Devialet AIR.  No, it never has worked very well for many users despite a huge number of support tickets logged about it.   It wasn't until Roon's own integration of AIR came along that many of us came to appreciate just how great Roon + Devialet are.  Roon AIR is good, but still lacking - robustness and capability - when compared to Roon RAAT.

Now, if you're not using Roon, I can understand your possible concern as to priorities.  Personally, and I'm sure I speak for everyone - that priority #1 must be getting the new CI board and OS fully tested, rock solid and released into production.  Beyond that, any new functions and features that we are aware of only target a subset of users.  If I were a Spotify, Qobuz, Airplay or UPnP user, I'd be advocating for that.  But I'm a very happy Roon user.  Given the recent effort by Devialet and Roon to integrate Roon AIR, the next obvious step would be Roon RAAT.

In my view, it's Devialet's goal to meet or exceed the expectations of all it's customers, but that is difficult to do when you minimally communicate with customers.   So my priority #2 would be to ask for an ongoing dialog/discussion forum with Devialet personnel.  That was something Quentin promised a year ago but we've yet to see.

Good well balanced post.
