Thanks for the advice guys.

I've done a brand new config, but can't try it until I get home from work later this evening. One thing I did want to ask is do I have to save a seperate Master & Companion dp_cfg config file to each SD Card (assume so as why have 2 download buttons on the Devialet Configurator website, one for Master & one for Companion).

Here's hoping it's the Voodoo magic and things sort themselves out.

Devialet themselves don't give any advice what to do when setting up the CI upgraded Pro's, and without Devialetchat where would we be (I know the answer). Sent my config files to Matheui & Olivier, but neither have replied advising good or bad (appreciate I'm not the only case they have to deal with).

One thing I don't like about the Devialet Configurator is there's no save button There's the download file, and a 'Previous' button at the bottom (what is this meant to achieve), but no save button. Every-time I go back into my config I find the values for Pre-Out keeps reverting to default (Full Range), and my previous settings (Low-Pass) are never saved, argh!!!!

I make sure i wipe each SD card and then empty the bin on my mac. Once the cards are clean, i save the config for each unit to each SD card. So yes, it is a different config for each card, download the link for the master, and separately for the companion.
John,

I can't simply say "What he said" to Jeremy's response because I have no idea when it comes to subs and Devialet but he is far, far, far more likely to give you the right answer on this one than I ever could be. Instead of "What he said" I'll just say "Go with him".

I'll be home from work in about 1 hour and will try again with the brand new config files.

Jeremy

Should I try and reformat the SD Cards to ensure everything wiped off them or just trash clean out (I've all Macs). Ill' be doing the same steps as yourself so hopefully this will do the trick (or have to rely on David's Voodoo Magic Tongue ).

Here's hoping this does the trick as if not don't know what to do next Huh

Cheers
John
Hi John, i just delete the file then empty the trash so to speak!

I was really frustrated when things wouldn't fire up straight away so thankfully this fixed it.

Let me know how you go, good luck!
@Celts88 Hi John, some applications create invisible files for the user! If you only delete the files that you see, it can happen that some trash remains! The safest way is to reformat the sd-card! These are my experiences Rolleyes

Good luck john.
May I add to Pim’s Excellent instructions?
As you will be using a Mac, don’t be tempted to use Safari. Install Chrome, and before and after each configuration download, clear the browsers cache by clicking on the three vertical dots at top right of the screen then go to settings>advanced settings and scroll down until you see the option required.
Although the flexibility of the Dev is amazing, we should be able to do firmware and config updates online don't you think? SD card seems outdated and cumbersome. Dev should be at the forefront of tech.

@Pim, a bit short on detail there mate, care to expand a bit  Tongue

Only joking mate, what a great summary of what to do with the configurator, downloading, and loading on to the Pro's. This should be the type of thing Devialet should produce, but they give from limited to zero info.

Just wish Devialet could at least put a 'Save' button on the configurator page (only button they have is 'Previous'), as then have to hope all the info is saved when transferring it to the computer. With my Preout settings it shows on the screen the changes, but everytime i go back into the configurator it reverts back to default (keep asking Devialet about this, but get they're standard answer - silence). Unfortunately I'm not sure how to check the config file to verify it's been correctly saved (the Preout settings are for my Sub low-pass crossover).

Not sure if you've had your O'dA's upgraded yet, if not then may be worth waiting a bit longer until they've a more robust software ready for use (could be a long piece of string that).

PS, are you the guy on the Gold Coast with the O-dA' who's just bought some ML5 speakers from Mike Lenehan. If yes, then Mike's currently finishing of my ML5's and hoping to ship them late next week.

@Axel

I'll write a summary soon of the latest issues with my 1000Pro, but fyi I did use Chrome when downloading my new config files, and ensured my SD card was emptied prior to loading the config and software (didn't reformat it, but my Mac is set-up to see hidden files, and the only thing left on the SD card was the empty trash folder).

@wikeeboy

I've previously asked Devialet about this and informally they said its in their plans, but that was late last year, and with all the current problems with the CI software it's well down their list of to-do's. Just like the iPhone app which should have been updated years ago, I've been told it's way down the list as in Devialet's eye's it doesn't affect functionality so is very low priority (shows to me they don't think like a user would).
