One box is severely damaged, including the inner box, and although the casework appears unharmed, the unit is dead. Angry Angry

Disappointing or what??

Update...
Communicated to Devialet via account, including full, purely factual report of events. No reply yet...
Email to UPS on Sunday; unsurprisingly no response there either so have just phoned up and gone through PAINFUL calling centre routine of 20 min.
Hopefully someone more senior will phone back...

I just hope they reconsider their couriers for the future, as this is dire and I'm sure others will have problems as well!

In a way, it is almost fortuitous that I (or anybody else) never signed for the shipments, so UPS cannot claim that we accepted the damaged goods.

Very sorry to hear about this, it must be truly miserable for you.  I hope Devialet accept full responsibility, since they arranged the courier, and make things right to your satisfaction.

I agree with NickB: it's luck of the draw whether your goods are handled well or badly, and can't be generalised based just on the courier company.  Our local UPS people are exceptional, but the chain is only as strong as its weakest link, etc.
+1. My experience with UPS has been excellent apart from the fortuitous return of my Pro 220 a day before their tracking information suggested.

I would limit your negotiations regarding repair to just Devialet only. Your contract is with them alone and the shipping contract is only between Devialet and UPS. The damage in transit aspect is not your problem. A speedy repair is, so Devialet need to step up and meet your needs rapidly.
I live in the USA I shipped my unit on the 4th of December it just came home today. All in all the upgrade was very smooth, problem is there is no new configurator. So now I am stuck with inputs I don't need.
Out of curiosity, what inputs are you stuck with that you do not need?
The existing configurator worked for my 220 Pro after CI update. (except Sub out default value not "sticking")
UPnP is the one I can't get rid of

Right-No option to turn off/hide with current configurator.
I read that many of you have good experiences regarding quick return of your Devialet after the upgrade.

Unfortunately I do not share that experience.  It is 18 days since my D250 Pro arrived at the upgrade facility in France and I still don't know when it will be returned.Sad
Most courier service is down to the local driver. Ours are excellent. We've had the same DHL guy for years, he's like family now. My Royal Mail postman is best. I work partly from home and an office a mile away. When I have work parcels delivered and I'm not in the office, he will deliver it to my home, and vice versa. Can't get better than that.
To those of you who have received their upgraded unit in USA, did you get any kind of notification prior to receiving the units back?
I've been checking the status of my unit on Devialet website and its been showing to_prepare for more than 2 weeks.
@sam1000

I would contact Devialet support - they will be able to tell you the status of your unit(s) and where it is in the queue.

They told me that I should expect a notification once it is sent back to me (FEDEX). That day has not yet arrived.

p.s. I also received an email notification once the units were received by their "workshop". There is not necessarily a 1:1 correlation between that event and when the units were actually delivered to them.
